About This Job
Apply for the Security Guard/Night Guard vacancy at WCD Dhamtari. 8th pass with 2 years' experience. Walk-in: 11 Sep 2026.
WCD Dhamtari Security Guard Recruitment 2026: Overview
Women and Child Development Department, Dhamtari is engaging a Security Guard/Night Guard for the Sakhi One Stop Centre, a support facility for women affected by violence. This is a contractual service-provider role at the district centre, where safety, discretion and a calm response matter every day. The guard will cover round-the-clock operations through assigned shifts and protect the centre's people, property, furniture, equipment and records. Relevant security experience is central to the role, while a retired Army or paramilitary background is treated as an advantage.
The workplace is different from an ordinary gate-security assignment. People reaching a Sakhi centre may be distressed or dealing with private legal, medical and family matters, so your conduct must support a safe and respectful environment. You must control access without creating discomfort, watch for risks around the premises and coordinate promptly with centre staff when an incident needs attention. Information about survivors, cases and centre records must remain confidential.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Contract term: The first engagement can run for up to 2 years. The District Collector may extend it in blocks of 1 year after reviewing performance, conduct and the department's need.
- Domicile: You must be an original resident of Chhattisgarh, and only a residence certificate issued by the competent authority is accepted.
- Fitness and background: Selection is followed by a health check and police verification. Service can end if you are found medically unfit or the background report is adverse.
- Confidentiality: You must protect every case-related document, object and data item handled at the centre. A confidentiality undertaking is required, and a breach can lead to termination.
- Personal declaration: The notice requires an anti-dowry declaration and sets conditions relating to marriage under the applicable service rules.
- Nature of engagement: This is a consolidated-fee assignment under the scheme, not a regular civil-service appointment. It does not create a claim to permanent government employment.
- Work arrangement: Night duty and other shifts may be assigned because the centre functions continuously. No travel allowance is paid for attending the walk-in.
- Leave and travel: Maternity leave is available under the applicable rules. Official travel or training may carry approved travel support when the competent authority permits it.
- Ending the contract: Either side may end the engagement with 1 month's notice or pay in place of notice; the authority may also end it for unsatisfactory work.
