DPO Fatehpur Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview
District Programme Officer Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, working through Child Development Services and Nutrition, Uttar Pradesh, is filling Anganwadi Worker and Anganwadi Helper positions in child development projects across the district. These are honorarium-based community roles serving both rural areas and Fatehpur city. The notice combines both posts in one district recruitment drive, so you should choose the role and centre that match your place of residence.
The centres are spread across Devmai, Bhitaura, Malwan, Asohtar, Airayan, Haswa, Vijayipur, Dhata, Hathgaon, Telyani, Amauli, Khajuha and Bahua, along with the urban project. This wide spread matters because the work is rooted in the local ward or village community rather than a central district office.
Posts and Disciplines
- Anganwadi Worker: Lead the day-to-day work of the assigned centre, keep beneficiary information organised and connect families with child development services.
- Anganwadi Helper: Support centre activities, help prepare the space and materials, and assist the Worker while serving children, mothers and local families.
Post-wise Duties
Anganwadi Worker
As an Anganwadi Worker, you are the main community contact for your centre. You will organise routine centre activities, maintain service records and follow up with local families so that children and mothers can use the programmes available to them.
You will also coordinate with the Child Development Project Office and share centre-level information when asked. The role suits someone who can communicate clearly with families and handle regular record work with care.
Anganwadi Helper
As an Anganwadi Helper, you will keep the centre ready for daily activities and support the Worker in serving beneficiaries. Your work may include arranging materials, keeping the centre clean and helping children and caregivers during programme activities.
The Helper role is practical and community-facing. Reliable attendance and familiarity with the neighbourhood will help you support the centre smoothly and respond to local needs.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Women-only recruitment: The notice restricts both advertised posts to female applicants.
- Local residence: You must be a permanent resident of the ward or Gram Sabha linked to the vacant centre. If no suitable applicant is available there, the relevant Nyaya Panchayat residence condition applies.
- Honorarium basis: These are community engagements paid through an honorarium, not regular salaried civil-service appointments.
- Centre choice: Your application should correspond to an advertised vacant centre in the district list and the residence condition attached to it.
- Offline forms: The district notice does not accept paper applications for this drive.
Responsibilities
- Run routine activities at the assigned Anganwadi centre
- Keep beneficiary and centre records accurate and organised
- Support nutrition, preschool and community outreach activities
