The Department of Industries, U.T. Chandigarh (DIC) has released a Terms of Reference notice to hire 2 manpower resources for its newly formed Policy Implementation Unit (PIU). The PIU will drive the Chandigarh Startup Policy 2025, MSME facilitation, ease-of-doing-business reforms, and digital governance projects for the department. Both posts are on a 24-month contract, extendable based on the department's needs and your performance, and are open to experienced professionals from government, PSU, or private/consulting backgrounds. The department will fill these posts by inviting applications through public advertisement in newspapers and on its official website, followed by screening based on your qualifications and experience.

Who Can Apply?

For Industrial Advisor cum Team Lead (Rs. 1,50,000/month):

• Qualification: You need a full-time Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or CFA (or equivalent) from a UGC/AICTE recognised university, with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
• Experience: You need a minimum of 7 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in project management, policy formulation, or MSME/startup sector development while working with Central/State Governments, UT Administrations, or PSUs.
• Also needed: Experience working on at least one government scheme or policy, and experience preparing strategic documents such as project reports, RFPs, or EOIs. Experience in stakeholder engagement and inter-departmental coordination is also required.
• Desirable: Experience in ease-of-doing-business reforms, startup ecosystem development, leading government teams, or working with agencies like DPIIT, Invest India, or SIDBI.

For Consultant Technology (Rs. 1,00,000/month):

• Qualification: You need a full-time B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Electronics, or MCA/M.Sc (Computer Science/IT) from a UGC/AICTE recognised university, with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
• Experience: You need a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in technology management, software/application development, IT systems design, or digital project implementation.
• Also needed: Experience managing digital platforms, portals, dashboards, or MIS systems, and working with stakeholders across the software development lifecycle.
• Desirable: Hands-on experience with Java/.NET/PHP/Python/React/Angular/Node.js, cloud platforms, APIs, cybersecurity practices, or certifications like AWS/Azure/PMP.

Age Limit

• For the Industrial Advisor cum Team Lead post, you should not be more than 50 years old as on the last date of application.
• For the Consultant Technology post, you should not be more than 45 years old as on the last date of application.

Salary

• The Industrial Advisor cum Team Lead will get a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 1,50,000 per month.
• The Consultant Technology will get a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 1,00,000 per month.
• Both posts are on a contract basis for 24 months, extendable depending on the department's requirements. No TA/DA is admissible at any stage of the selection process.
• Note: If you resign before completing the 24-month bond period, you must give one month's notice and pay two months' remuneration to the department.
