Who Can Apply?

• Education: You must have passed Class 12 (Intermediate or equivalent) from a recognized board or council.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary in the range of Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 per month under Pay Level 3 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
• Grade Pay: Rs. 2,000
• Your estimated in-hand salary will be around Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 35,000 per month depending on the posting location.
• You will also receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), medical benefits, and NPS contributions as per UP Government rules.

Selection Process

The selection for UPSSSC Lekhpal will be done through the following stages:

1. UPSSSC PET (Preliminary Eligibility Test): This is a pre-requisite. Only candidates who have already qualified PET 2025 are eligible to apply for the Lekhpal Main Examination.
2. Written Examination (Main): An offline pen-and-paper based examination with 100 MCQs for 100 marks to be completed in 2 hours. The exam is scheduled for 21 May 2026 (Thursday) from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Negative marking of 0.25 marks applies for each wrong answer.
