- PwD: Up to 15 years relaxation in upper age limit as per UP Government rules.
Salary
- Selected candidates will receive a salary of Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month under Level-4 of the 7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix.
- The estimated in-hand salary at the time of joining is approximately Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 42,000 per month including Dearness Allowance and other benefits.
- You will also receive DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Uttar Pradesh Government rules.

Selection Process
UPSSSC will select candidates through a two-stage process:
- Mains Written Examination: An objective-type (MCQ) paper with 100 questions carrying 100 marks. You will get 2 hours (120 minutes) to complete the paper. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks (one-fourth) for each wrong answer. Candidates are shortlisted based on PET 2025 scores before appearing for this exam.
- Document Verification: Candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for document verification. You will need to present all original certificates, mark sheets, caste certificate (if applicable), and other relevant documents at this stage.

Responsibilities
- Handle crop monitoring and provide technical guidance to farmers on modern agricultural practices, crop rotation, and pest management.
- Assist in implementing government agricultural schemes and programmes at the district and block level across Uttar Pradesh.
- Prepare reports on soil health, crop production statistics, and seasonal agricultural data for the Directorate of Agriculture.
- Work with farming communities to promote organic farming, integrated pest management, and sustainable agriculture techniques.
- Monitor seed distribution, fertilizer supply, and quality control measures at the field level.
- Keep records of agricultural land use, crop damage assessments, and weather-related farming advisories.
- Assist senior officers in conducting agricultural surveys, field inspections, and crop cutting experiments.
- Follow departmental guidelines for maintaining documentation related to agricultural subsidies and farmer welfare programmes.

UPSSSC AGTA Mains Written Examination Pattern

- Agriculture Extension: 5 questions — covers extension methods, farmer training, and rural development programmes.
