Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), Prayagraj has issued a revised advertisement (Advertisement No. 51) on 26 April 2026 for the recruitment of 107 Assistant Professor (B.Ed) posts in aided non-government colleges of Uttar Pradesh. This is a re-issued notification following High Court orders dated 09.12.2022 and 01.09.2023, with revised eligibility under NCTE Regulations-2014. Out of 107 posts, 80 posts are in co-educational colleges and 27 posts are in women's colleges. Candidates who applied earlier under the original Advertisement No. 51 (09.07.2022) or the revised one (23.05.2025) must re-apply using the application number sent to their registered mobile/email - they need not pay the fee again.

Who Can Apply?

You must hold the educational qualification as on 31 August 2022 (the original cut-off date of Advertisement No. 51). The qualification is as per NCTE Regulations-2014:

Option 1:

• Master's degree in Science / Mathematics / Social Science / Humanities with minimum 55% marks, AND
• M.Ed with minimum 55% marks

Option 2:

• Master's degree in Science / Mathematics / Social Science / Humanities with minimum 55% marks, AND
• Master's degree in Education with minimum 55% marks, AND
• B.Ed degree with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent)

Additional Requirement

• UGC NET qualified in Education subject, OR
• Ph.D / D.Phil in Education obtained as per UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil / Ph.D Degree) Regulations, 2009 / 2016

Reservation benefits in UP (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) are available only to original residents of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates from other states will be treated as Unreserved.

Salary

• Pay Scale: Rs. 15,600 to Rs. 39,100 per month (PB-3)

Selection Process

Selection is through written examination and interview:

1. Written Examination (200 marks): One objective-type paper. 60 + 10 = 70 questions on General Knowledge (140 marks) and 30 questions on Education subject (60 marks). Each question carries 2 marks. No negative marking.
2. Interview (30 marks): Candidates qualifying the written exam are called for interview.
3. Final Selection: Based on total of 230 marks (200 written + 30 interview). Merit list prepared in order.
4. Document Verification: Original certificates verified at the time of interview.

Use only black ball pen on the OMR sheet. Other pens, pencils or whitener are not allowed.

3. Fresh candidates: complete One Time Registration (OTR) at bed.upessc.org/otr/.
4. Old candidates: use the application number sent to your registered mobile / email to re-apply (no fresh fee required).
5. Fill in the online application form with your personal, educational and category details.
6. Upload your photo and signature in the prescribed size and format.
7. Pay the application fee online.
8. Submit the application before 27 May 2026 (11:59 PM).
9. You can correct/edit submitted applications and reconcile fees up to 30 May 2026.
