The Office of the District Programme Officer, Child Development, Chandauli (Uttar Pradesh) has released a direct recruitment notice for 210 vacant Anganwadi posts — 84 Karyakatri (Worker) and 126 Sahayika (Helper) — across its 10 ICDS projects: Sakaldiha, Chakiya, Naugarh, Sadar, Barhani, Shahabganj, Chahaniya, Dhanapur, Niyamatabad and Nagar. These vacancies opened up after 16 Sahayikas were promoted to Karyakatri posts, following approval from the District Magistrate on 2 July 2026. Who Can Apply?

• Gender: Only women candidates are eligible for these posts.
• Qualification: You need at least an Intermediate (12th) pass or equivalent. Merit is prepared up to Post-Graduate level qualification, so a higher degree can improve your ranking.
• Domicile: You must be a permanent resident of the Gram Sabha or ward (urban area) where the vacancy exists. A Gram Sabha includes all its revenue villages, majras, purvas and tolas.
• Priority: Preference goes first to BPL widows of the same Gram Sabha/ward, then to BPL divorced or abandoned women (with a valid court order), then to other BPL applicants, and finally to APL applicants.
• Income Limit for BPL: The poverty line income limit is Rs. 46,080 per year for rural areas and Rs. 56,460 per year for urban areas. A BPL/Antyodaya ration card alone is not accepted as proof — you need an income certificate from the Tehsildar that can be verified online.
• If no eligible candidate is found in a Gram Sabha for a notified category, an eligible candidate from the concerned Nyay Panchayat will be selected instead.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 35 years old as on the cut-off date of 1 July 2026.
• No age relaxation is given to any caste category for these posts.

Salary

• These posts are honorarium-based (मानदेय) — not regular salaried government jobs. The exact honorarium amount is not mentioned in this notification; check the government order dated 17 September 2025 or the CDPO office for the applicable rate.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection for both posts is based on a priority-based merit system, not a written test:
