Sivasagar One Stop Centre (OSC) Sakhi Recruitment 2026 - 5 Posts
The District Social Welfare Officer, Sivasagar has released this advertisement (No. OSC/Siv/O-File/2025-1) to fill 5 temporary and contractual posts at The Sakhi: One Stop Centre, which supports women affected by violence under the central government's Mission Shakti scheme. The Counsellor and Multipurpose Worker posts are reserved for women candidates, while the Security Guard post is open to all genders, with preference for retired military/paramilitary personnel. Selection is through interview only — there is no written exam.
One Stop Centres (OSCs), also known as Sakhi Centres, are set up under Mission Shakti to provide integrated support — medical aid, police assistance, legal aid, counselling and temporary shelter — to women affected by violence, all under one roof. Sivasagar's OSC operates under the district administration and works closely with the police, hospital and judiciary so that a woman in distress does not have to run between multiple offices for help. The Counsellor plays the lead role in this support system, the Multipurpose Worker keeps the centre's daily operations running smoothly, and the Security Guard makes sure the premises and everyone inside stay safe round the clock. Working at an OSC gives you the chance to directly support women in your own district while being part of a nationally run welfare scheme.
