UCO Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Overview

UCO Bank is engaging Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961, through its Human Resources Management Department. The programme provides training across the states and Union Territories listed in the notice. You join as a trainee under an apprenticeship contract, with the terms of that contract governing your time at the bank.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Training period: The apprenticeship runs for one year from the contract date. Your daily training hours follow those applicable to the bank's clerical staff.
• State choice: You can apply for only one state or Union Territory, preferably your home state. The bank may place you in any district within that chosen state or territory according to its needs.
• Employment status: An apprentice is a trainee and is not treated as a bank employee. Completing this programme does not give you a right to a regular bank job, and the bank has no duty to offer you one.
• Accommodation: You must make your own arrangements for transport and accommodation. The bank does not undertake to provide a hostel, residential accommodation or transport during training.
• Contract and withdrawal: You must sign an apprenticeship contract before training begins. Withdrawal is allowed only for reasons beyond your control; absence can lead to recovery of training costs and stipend under the applicable government rules.
• End of engagement: Your contract ends automatically when the training period finishes, without a separate termination notice. Failure to report at the training venue when training starts can also end the contract without notice or compensation.
• Reservation: Other Backward Classes applicants must fall within the central non-creamy-layer rules to claim that reservation. Your submitted category cannot be changed later, so check it carefully before sending the form.
• Travel expenses: You attend document verification at your own expense and risk. The bank will not reimburse travel costs incurred during the engagement process.
• Programme rules: The Apprentices Act and the bank's apprenticeship policies govern the engagement. Apprentices cannot form or join a union body under the terms stated in this notice.
• Seat availability: The advertised seats are provisional. The bank may change them to match its needs and may leave seats unfilled where suitable applicants are unavailable.
