Who Can Apply?

For Junior Assistant, Matron, Supervisor, Junior Auditor & Ward Officer Posts:

  • Qualification: You need a Bachelor's Degree from any recognised university in India established under a Central Act, State Act, Provincial Act, or an institution recognised by the UGC.

For Junior Accountant Posts (Post Code 01, 02 & 04):

  • Qualification: You need a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from a recognised university.

For Junior Assistant (Food & Civil Supplies - Post Code 15):

  • Qualification: You need a Graduate degree in any discipline with 50% aggregate (SC/ST candidates need 40%).

For Junior Assistant (Water Supply Board P&A - Post Code 61A):

  • Qualification: You need a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.

For Junior Assistant (Water Supply Board F&A - Post Code 61B):

  • Qualification: You need a Bachelor's Degree in B.Com (Computers).

Note: Qualifications obtained through Distance Education or Open Universities must be recognised by UGC/AICTE/Distance Education Bureau.

Age Limit

  • You should be between 18 and 44 years old as on 01 July 2026.
  • SC/ST/BCs & EWS: 5 years relaxation (upper age limit becomes 49 years)
  • Physically Handicapped (PH): 10 years relaxation (upper age limit becomes 54 years)
  • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years plus length of service in armed forces
  • NCC Instructors: 3 years plus length of service in NCC
  • Telangana State Government Employees: Up to 5 years based on length of regular service
  • No person shall be eligible after crossing 61 years of age (superannuation age) after availing all relaxations.

Salary

  • Junior Assistant, Junior Accountant, Junior Auditor: Pay scale of Rs. 24,280 to Rs. 72,850 per month
  • Ward Officer: Pay scale of Rs. 22,240 to Rs. 67,300 per month
  • Matron/Matron-cum-Storekeeper: Pay scale of Rs. 22,900 to Rs. 69,150 per month
  • You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Telangana State Government rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

  1. Written Examination (Objective Type): This is the main selection stage. The exam may be conducted as Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) or Offline OMR-based exam. Total 300 questions for 300 marks across 2 papers. Minimum qualifying marks: OC/Sportsmen/Ex-Servicemen/EWS - 40%, BCs - 35%, SCs/STs/PH - 30%.
  2. Certificate Verification: Candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for document verification in order of merit, community-wise and category-wise.
  3. Medical Examination: Selected candidates must be found medically fit in the medical examination.

  2. Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) if you have not already registered.
  3. Log in using your TSPSC ID and Date of Birth.
  4. Select Notification No. 19/2022 for Group-IV Services and fill in the application form.
  5. Choose up to 12 examination centres in order of preference.
  6. Upload your scanned passport size photo and signature in JPEG format.

Exam Pattern

The TSPSC Group 4 exam consists of 2 papers with a total of 300 questions for 300 marks. You will get 150 minutes (2.5 hours) for each paper.

Paper I - General Studies & General Abilities (150 Questions, 150 Marks, 150 Minutes)

  • General Science: Questions on everyday science and general awareness of scientific concepts
  • History, Polity & Geography of India and Telangana: Focus on Telangana movement, state formation, culture, economy
  • Current Affairs: National and international events, sports, awards
  • Economy: Basic economic concepts, Indian economy, planning, budgets

Paper II - Secretarial Abilities (150 Questions, 150 Marks, 150 Minutes)

  • Comprehension: Reading passages and answering questions
  • Logical Reasoning & Mental Ability: Number series, coding-decoding, analogies
  • Quantitative Aptitude & Arithmetic: Percentages, ratios, averages, time & distance
