Who Can Apply?

Scientific and Engineering Posts

• Scientific Officer (C): You need BE/B.Tech or master's degree in the listed discipline with 60% marks and relevant experience such as system administration, cryogenic engineering or NMR operations.
• Junior Engineer (B): You need a full-time diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks, computer knowledge and 2 years experience in large air-conditioning maintenance.
• Scientific Assistant (B): You need a science graduate or diploma in the listed IT/electronics/science discipline with 60% marks, computer knowledge and 1 to 2 years relevant experience.

Administrative, Clerk and Project Posts

• Administrative Assistant (B): You need a graduate degree with 55% marks, proficiency in word processing, database or accounting procedures, and 5 years relevant experience.
• Clerk (A): You need graduation with 50% marks, typing knowledge, computer application certificate and 1 year clerical experience.
• Project Administrative Assistant (B): You need a graduate degree with 55% marks, office/accounting skills and 5 years administrative experience. This post is temporary and project-based.

Trades, Assistant and Security Posts

• Tradesman (B) and Laboratory Assistant (B): You need NTC or NAC in the relevant trade with 1 to 2 years experience.
• Work Assistant: You need SSC/10th pass or equivalent, with relevant trade, canteen, office, gym maintenance or support experience as listed for the post.
• Security Guard: You need SSC, at least 3 years defence, CAPF or security experience, computer knowledge and the required physical standards.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 28, 31, 33 or 36 years depending on the post and reservation category.
• Age reference date: Age is counted as on the closing date for receipt of applications, which is 04 July 2026.
• Relaxation: Age relaxation is available as per Government of India/TIFR rules for reserved categories, PwBD and other applicable candidates.

Salary

• Pay Level 10 posts: Total monthly pay of Rs. 1,18,110.
• Pay Level 6 posts: Total monthly pay of Rs. 73,020.
• Pay Level 3 posts: Total monthly pay of Rs. 46,990.
• Pay Level 1 posts: Total monthly pay of Rs. 36,360.
• Project Administrative Assistant (B): Consolidated pay of Rs. 63,900 including HRA.

Physical Standards

Security Guard - Male Candidates

• Height: Not less than 165 cm
• Chest: 80-85 cm
• Eyesight: Minimum 6/6 vision and naked eye vision 6/9 in both eyes with colour recognition
• Running: 100 metres in 16 seconds and 1.6 km in 6 minutes 30 seconds on smooth track
• Shot Put: 7.26 kg to 4.5 metres

Security Guard - Female Candidates

• Height: Not less than 157 cm
• Chest: Not applicable
• Eyesight: Minimum 6/6 vision and naked eye vision 6/9 in both eyes with colour recognition
• Running: 100 metres in 18 seconds and 1.6 km in 8 minutes 30 seconds on smooth track

Selection Process

The selection process changes by post, but it can include written test, skill test, trade test, physical test, personal interview and document verification.

1. Written Test: Used for several Scientific Officer, Scientific Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Clerk, Tradesman, Work Assistant, Security Guard and Project Administrative Assistant posts.
2. Skill Test or Trade Test: Used for administrative, clerk, trades and technical support posts where practical ability is important.
3. Physical Fitness and Efficiency Test: Used for Security Guard posts.
4. Personal Interview: Used for Scientific Officer, Junior Engineer and selected technical/scientific posts.
5. Document Verification: Original documents, certificates and category proof will be checked during the recruitment process.
