• Qualification: You need a bachelor's degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Junior Technical Superintendent

Age Limit

• Assistant Registrar: Upper age limit is 42 years.
• Junior Superintendent: Upper age limit is 34 years.
• Junior Assistant: Upper age limit is 27 years.
• Junior Technical Superintendent: Upper age limit is 34 years.
• Age reference: Age, qualification, and experience will be checked as on the last date of online application, 13 July 2026.
• Age relaxation: SC/ST get 5 years, OBC-NCL get 3 years, and ESM/PwBD get relaxation as per Government of India rules. Regular IIT Dharwad employees get an additional 5 years.

Salary

• Level 10: Assistant Registrar pay range is Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month.
• Level 6: Junior Superintendent and Junior Technical Superintendent pay range is Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month.
• Level 3: Junior Assistant pay range is Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 per month.
• You will also get Basic Pay, DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, and other benefits as per Government of India rules applicable at Dharwad, Karnataka.

Application Fee

• Application fee: Rs. 500 including GST.
• Payment mode: State Bank e-pay facility available in the online application.
• No fee: PwBD, Ex-servicemen, SC, ST, women applicants, and current regular employees of IIT Dharwad are exempted.
• The fee is non-refundable and no other payment mode will be accepted.

Selection Process

The selection process can change by pay level and post, but the notice clearly mentions written tests, skill tests, interview, and other evaluation methods where needed.

1. Written Test / Screening: IIT Dharwad may shortlist applicants based on academic record, qualification, and experience when applications are high.
2. Pay Level 6 Written Tests: Written Test I is compulsory. Written Test II may be held depending on the post and the Selection Committee decision.
3. Pay Level 10 Evaluation and Interview: A written test or other evaluation may be held as a qualifying stage, followed by interview. Final selection for Level 10 is based on interview performance.
4. Skill Test / Other Test: The Institute may hold skill test or any other practical evaluation where the post needs it.
