Tamil University, Thanjavur is filling Guest Assistant Professor posts in three of its departments — Music, Epigraphy and Archaeology, and Education and Management. These are purely temporary guest faculty engagements on a fixed consolidated monthly pay, meant to cover teaching in the university's own departments at its Thanjavur campus.

The call is small but varied, covering vocal music and Bharatanatyam, Archaeology, and English in the Education department. Eligibility follows the UGC Regulations, so only candidates with NET, SLET/SET or an awarded Ph.D. in the subject can take part. • Archaeology: in the Department of Epigraphy and Archaeology; meant for postgraduates in History and Archaeology or Ancient History and Archaeology.
