The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad, works under the Ministry of Home Affairs and trains the Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. The Academy has invited nominations to fill 4 medical support posts at its campus health facility. Who Can Apply?

These posts are filled by deputation, so you must already be working in a government department in a similar role.

Staff Nurse

• You should be a Staff Nurse or Nursing Officer in the Central Government, State Government, or a Union Territory.
• You must be holding an analogous post on a regular basis, OR have 5 years of regular service in Level-6 (Rs. 35,400-1,12,400) in your parent department.

Laboratory Technician

• You should be a government officer holding an analogous post, OR have 6 years of regular service in Level-5 (Rs. 29,200-92,300).
• Educational Qualification: B.Sc in Medical Lab Technology, OR B.Sc in Physics/Chemistry/Maths/Biology with a diploma in Medical Lab Technology, OR B.Tech in Bio Technology from a recognised institution.

X-Ray Technician

• You should be a government officer (Central, State, UT, PSU, autonomous body, statutory body, or recognised research institute/university) holding an analogous post with 3 years of regular service in Level-4.

Age Limit

• The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation is 56 years as on the last date for receipt of applications.

Salary

• Staff Nurse: Level 7 — Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 per month
• Laboratory Technician: Level 6 — Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month
• X-Ray Technician: Level 4 — Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month
• You will also get DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Central Government rules.

Selection Process

There is no written exam. Selection is done by reviewing the nominations sent by the parent departments.

1. Nomination through proper channel: Your department forwards your bio-data in the prescribed format (Annexure-II).
2. Document Verification: The Academy checks your service records, ACRs for the last 5 years, integrity certificate, and vigilance clearance.
3. Selection Committee Review: The committee assesses your eligibility and experience for the post.

How to Apply

1. Download the bio-data proforma (Annexure-II) from svpnpa.gov.in under the 'Vacancies' tab.
2. Fill in the proforma and get it attested and countersigned by the competent authority in your department.
3. Attach your ACRs for the last 5 years (2020-21 to 2024-25), integrity certificate, vigilance clearance, and major/minor penalty details for the last 10 years.

Important Dates

• Provide nursing care and first aid to trainees, faculty, and staff at the Academy
• Work in rotating shifts round the clock, including emergency duty
• Collect blood samples and specimens and prepare lab reports for analysis
• Take X-ray images using radiographic equipment and issue films to patients
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment like ECG, oxygen machines, and X-ray units
• Keep proper records of patients, injectables, and daily equipment logs
• Support outdoor activities such as cross country, firing, and jungle camp by providing on-site first aid
• Maintain sterilization of instruments and assist doctors during consultations
