The Staff Selection Commission (SSC), under the Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India, has released the Phase XIV/2026/Selection Posts notification on 13 April 2026. This recruitment fills 3003 vacancies in central government offices spread across India — covering posts at Matriculation (10th), Higher Secondary (10+2), and Graduation & above levels. Who Can Apply?
Matriculation Level Posts
- You need to have passed 10th Class (Matriculation) from a recognised Board.
Higher Secondary Level Posts
- You need to have passed 12th Class (Higher Secondary / 10+2) from a recognised Board or equivalent.
Graduation & Above Level Posts
- You need a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university in the relevant discipline, as specified in the post details.
Other Requirements
- Nationality: You must be a citizen of India (or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee settled in India before 1962, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from specific countries — as applicable).

Selection Process
Selection is done in the following stages:
- Computer Based Examination (CBE): 100 objective-type multiple choice questions (MCQs) for 200 marks. Total time is 60 minutes with a sectional timer of 15 minutes per part. Negative marking of 0.50 marks per wrong answer. Exam held in Hindi and English.
- Skill Test / Typing Test (if applicable): Specific posts may require a qualifying skill test (e.g., typing test for clerical posts, DEO skill test). This is qualifying in nature unless otherwise specified.
- Document Verification (DV): Candidates who qualify in CBE are required to upload all relevant documents. Document verification is conducted by the concerned User Department.
CBE Cut-off marks (minimum to qualify):
- UR (Unreserved): 30%
- OBC / EWS: 25%
- SC / ST / PwBD / ESM: 20%
Candidates scoring less than the cut-off will not be considered for the next stage.
