Society for Climate Resilient Agriculture in Nagaland (SoCRAN) ELEMENT Project Recruitment 2026 - 4 Posts

The Government of Nagaland's Society for Climate Resilient Agriculture in Nagaland (SoCRAN), which runs the World Bank-funded ELEMENT (Enhancing Landscape and Ecosystem Management) project, has invited applications for 4 expert positions at its State Project Management Unit (SPMU). ELEMENT works on soil and water conservation, sustainable land management, climate-smart agriculture, and improving rural livelihoods across identified watersheds in Nagaland, and was officially launched by the Chief Minister of Nagaland in September 2025. Phek and Meluri, where all 4 posts are based, are part of the project's priority landscape districts in eastern Nagaland. These posts are offered on a contractual basis for one year, extendable based on performance and co-terminus with the project. Each post has a different qualification and experience requirement, so check the role that matches your background before applying. This engagement does not confer any right to a regular government appointment.

Who Can Apply?

Natural Resource Management Expert (Rs. 30,000/month):

• M.Sc. with specialization in Soil & Water Conservation, with 1 year of related work experience, OR
• B.Sc. in Forestry/Agriculture/Horticulture or B.Tech in Agriculture Engineering, with 2 years or more of related work experience

Livelihoods, Marketing and Value Chain Expert (Rs. 30,000/month):

• B.Sc. Agriculture, Horticulture, or BBA
• 2 years or more of work experience related to livelihoods, marketing, or value chain development

M&E/MIS and Documentation Expert (Rs. 30,000/month):

• Any Graduate degree
• 2 years or more of work experience in monitoring, evaluation, database entry, documentation and reporting, with basic MS Office skills

Community Financial Management and Procurement Expert (Rs. 30,000/month):

• B.Com / M.Com or an equivalent qualification (see official notification for full details)
• Related work experience in financial management and procurement

If you are already employed in a Government Department, PSU, or organization, you must apply through your controlling authority and submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC).

Age Limit

• The maximum age for all 4 posts is 35 years.

Salary

• All 4 posts carry a monthly remuneration of Rs. 30,000, paid on a consolidated contractual basis.
• Your engagement will initially run for one year on a purely contractual basis and may be extended based on your performance and project needs. Since the role is co-terminus with the project, your appointment ends when the ELEMENT project itself concludes.

Selection Process

Each post follows a 2-stage selection process:

1. Written Test
2. Interview — shortlisted candidates are called at a ratio of 3 candidates per vacancy

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the personal interview, and you must bring your original documents at that stage. Important Dates

• Support field-level implementation of ELEMENT project activities in Phek and Meluri districts
• Collect, verify, and maintain project data, records, and documentation
• Coordinate with village councils, farmer groups, and local departments on project activities
• Prepare periodic progress reports and monitoring data for the State Project Management Unit
• Assist in planning and executing natural resource management, livelihoods, or financial activities based on your assigned role
• Travel regularly to project sites for monitoring and data collection
• Follow project guidelines, procurement norms, and financial procedures
