SGGU College Faculty Recruitment 2026: Overview

Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU), Godhra is running a centralised hiring drive for teaching staff in the self-financed colleges affiliated to it, under advertisement 02/SF/2026. Instead of each college advertising on its own, the university is collecting applications for all of them through one online window on the Samarth portal. The drive is unusually wide — it covers arts and commerce colleges as well as law, nursing, physiotherapy and homoeopathy (BHMS) colleges — so lecturers from very different fields can find an opening here.

Posts range from Tutor and Assistant Professor up to Professor and Principal, along with Librarian and Physical Training Instructor (P.T.I.) posts. Shortlisting for the interviews follows the UGC Regulations, 2018 scoring tables, so your academic record, research work and teaching experience all count.

Posts and Disciplines

• Principal: heads of college across most streams, including B.Ed., social work, nursing, law, science and arts colleges.
• Professor and Associate Professor: senior faculty posts, mostly in the B.Ed., M.S.W., law, nursing, physiotherapy and BHMS medical colleges.
• Assistant Professor: the biggest group by far, spread across arts (B.A., M.A.), commerce (B.Com, M.Com), science (B.Sc., M.Sc.), B.Ed. and M.Ed., social work (B.S.W., M.S.W.), rural studies (B.R.S., M.R.S.), B.C.A., law and LLM, nursing, PGDMLT, physiotherapy, BHMS and the diploma colleges.
• Librarian: college library posts in most streams, with the largest share in the B.Ed. colleges.
• Physical Training Instructor (P.T.I.): posts mainly in arts, science, B.Ed., social work and law colleges, plus the fire and safety diploma colleges.
• Tutor: teaching posts in B.Sc. Nursing, P.B.B.Sc. Nursing and physiotherapy colleges, with one in the fire and safety diploma colleges.
• Diploma colleges: faculty for the Diploma in Fire and Safety and Diploma in Health Sanitary programmes.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Who you work for: the posts are in self-financed colleges affiliated to SGGU, not in the university's own departments.
• College-wise list: the split of posts by college and subject is published on the SGGU website, so check that your subject actually has an opening before you apply.
• Shortlisting tables: SGGU has published the UGC 2018 Table 3 A (university) and Table 3 B (Assistant Professor in college) score sheets to decide who is called for interview.
• Incomplete forms: applications without the fee or with missing details will be rejected.
• Interview costs: you attend the interview at your own expense.
• Interview schedule: subject-wise dates, time and venue are posted on the website and sent to the email address you register with, so use one you check daily.

Application Submission Notes

You apply only through the Samarth portal, using the link for advertisement 02/SF/2026 on www.sggu.ac.in. Upload scanned copies of all your certificates and, if you are currently employed, a No Objection Certificate (NOC), then pay the fee online on the same portal.

On interview day, carry a printed copy of your submitted online form along with all original certificates and one photocopy set for verification.
