SDO Yeola Nandgaon Kotwal Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Sub-Divisional Officer, Yeola, Nashik District is recruiting Revenue Servants (Kotwals) for revenue circles in Nandgaon taluka. This special drive has government approval to fill existing openings in the local revenue setup. The notice describes the engagement as temporary, with recruitment handled separately for each revenue circle, locally called a saja.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Local connection: You must live in a village that belongs to the saja you apply for. Living elsewhere in Nandgaon taluka does not by itself meet this condition, so check your village against the notice's circle table.
  • Separate circle recruitment: Each saja has its own recruitment process. The notice says these processes are independent of one another, and you should apply for your own local circle.
  • Reservation: The allocation differs by circle, including a women's reservation at Wakhari. Check the category attached to your circle before making a claim in your form.
  • Women's claims: Maharashtra domicile is needed for women's reservation. Open-category women do not need a non-creamy-layer certificate for this benefit, while the relevant rules still apply to women claiming backward-class reservation.
  • Service status: The Kotwal post is not classified into a service group. Appointment and service conditions follow the Revenue and Forest Department rules cited in the notice.
  • Reservation limits: The notice excludes disability reservation for this field-based role. It also states that parallel reservations such as project-affected, ex-servicemen and sports categories do not apply to the standalone circle post.
  • Preference in a tie: When other factors are equal, heirs of the former Kotwal of that saja receive preference. Other tied cases follow the government's prescribed merit-order rules.
  • Travel costs: You must meet your own travel and other attendance expenses. The office will not reimburse these costs.
  • Provisional participation: Being allowed to take part does not guarantee appointment. Incorrect information, unsupported claims or attempts to influence the committee can lead to cancellation, including after appointment.
  • Changes to the drive: The selection committee may revise the recruitment, change the allocation, postpone it or cancel it. Its chair, the Sub-Divisional Officer at Yeola, handles decisions on recruitment disputes.
  • Portal updates: Keep checking the recruitment portal for announcements. The office places schedules and notices there and does not send them individually by post, so a missed message does not remove your responsibility to stay informed.
