Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University (SDAU) is hiring a Young Professional-II for its Krushi Vigyan Kendra at Deesa in Gujarat's Banaskantha district. The contractual role supports the National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) project. A notable part of this assignment is its village-based work: you will need to travel to project villages and stay there when the work calls for it.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project tenure: The engagement lasts for 11 months or until the project ends, whichever comes first. It is a temporary, ad hoc project contract, so you should plan around that defined assignment.
• Renewal: SDAU may renew the engagement for further terms if the project needs it. Renewal is not automatic, and the university does not promise another job after the assignment ends.
• Field locations: The notice specifically names Dhaneri, Marwada, cluster villages and nearby villages. Frequent visits and overnight stays can be part of the project work, rather than an occasional exception.
• Workplace and supervision: You must remain at the work headquarters and get the competent officer's permission before leaving it. The Senior Scientist and Head, Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator at KVK Deesa direct the project assignment.
• Working arrangements: Follow the office's prescribed attendance hours. You cannot take another part-time job, and you may be called for duty on public holidays when the office needs you. The appointment conditions also prohibit participation in political activities.
• Leave: Casual leave follows the applicable rules. Other leave is not available under the stated contract conditions, and absence beyond the permitted leave can result in a corresponding pay deduction.
• Ending the contract: Either party may end the engagement with one month's notice or the equivalent fixed pay. Unsatisfactory work or indiscipline can lead to termination without notice under the attached conditions.
• University status: This outsourced engagement gives you no right to absorption into the university's regular establishment. Applicable university and government conditions continue to govern the contract.
• Joining undertaking: You must accept the appointment conditions through the prescribed written undertaking before joining. The attached conditions also cover conduct, citizenship and compliance with university rules.
