The Prakasam District Co-operative Central Bank Ltd. (DCCB) has released a notification for 60 Staff Assistant posts under its jurisdiction. Out of these, 49 posts are open to candidates from the open market and 11 posts are reserved for staff already working in Primary Agriculture Co-operative Societies (PACS) affiliated to the bank. Only candidates local to the erstwhile Prakasam district are eligible to apply — this is a great opportunity for local graduates who want a stable banking job close to home.

Who Can Apply?
For Open Market Candidates:
- Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university
- Language: Knowledge of English and proficiency in Telugu is essential
- Computer Skills: Working knowledge of computers is essential
- Domicile: You must be a local candidate of the erstwhile Prakasam district
- Local Candidate Criteria: You qualify as local if you studied in an educational institution in the district for at least 4 consecutive academic years ending with your SSC (or equivalent) exam, or if you resided in the district for at least 4 years before appearing for SSC.
For In-Service PACS Candidates:
- Qualification: Intermediate plus JDC/HDC/DCRS, or graduation from a recognized university
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of service in a PACS affiliated to Prakasam DCCB, as on the date of notification
Age Limit
- You should be between 20 and 30 years old as on 1 June 2026 for the open market category.
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years, BC candidates get 3 years, PwBD (General) get 10 years, PwBD (SC/ST) get 15 years, and PwBD (BC) get 13 years.
- Ex-Servicemen: Actual service rendered plus 3 years (8 years for disabled ex-servicemen from SC/ST), subject to a maximum of 50 years.
- In-Service Bank Employees: Age is relaxed by the period of service in a co-operative/commercial bank, up to a maximum of 35 years (General), 38 years (BC), or 40 years (SC/ST).
- PACS Candidates: Relaxation up to 45 years for OC candidates, with further relaxation for reserved categories, subject to an overall maximum of 50 years.
Salary
- Selected candidates get a starting basic pay of Rs. 24,050 per month, in a scale that goes up to Rs. 64,480 over 20 stages.
- At present, the total starting salary is around Rs. 47,000 per month, inclusive of DA and HRA at current rates.
- You will also get other allowances and perquisites as per the Bank's rules.
Application Fee
- SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen: Rs. 590 (incl. GST)
- OC / BC / EWS: Rs. 826 (incl. GST)
- Payment mode: Online only — Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI or Mobile Wallets.
- The fee is non-refundable, and bank transaction charges must be borne by the candidate.
Selection Process
The selection will be done in 2 stages:
- Online Written Exam: 200 marks covering Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. Conducted in English with a composite time of 2 hours. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. There is no interview — final selection is based purely on your merit ranking.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates for educational qualification, category and local candidature.
In-service PACS candidates take a separate 100-mark test on the Working and Functions of PACS instead of the open market paper.
You need to qualify in each individual subject test as well as the overall exam — passing marks for each section are decided by the Bank based on the performance of all candidates. Your online test center will be within the erstwhile Prakasam district only, and once chosen, the center cannot be changed.
Note: On selection, you will need to execute a contract bond of Rs. 2,00,000 and serve the Bank continuously for a minimum of 2 years. Carry a valid photo ID such as a PAN Card, Passport, Aadhaar Card or Voter ID to the exam center — a Ration Card or Learner's Driving Licence will not be accepted.

Responsibilities
- Handle daily banking transactions including cash deposits, withdrawals and account operations
- Assist customers with account opening, loan applications and general banking queries
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and customer documents
- Support senior bank staff with clerical and administrative tasks at the branch
- Process cheques, demand drafts and other banking instruments
- Follow RBI guidelines and cooperative banking regulations while handling customer accounts
- Assist in loan recovery and coordination with PACS-affiliated societies
