PGIMER Senior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, has invited applications for 1 Senior Research Fellow post. This is a temporary/ad-hoc position in an ANRF-funded research project titled "To study the WIP-WASp axis and ubiquitin mediated degradation in patients with Wiskott Aldrich Syndrome" under Dr. Deepti Suri, Principal Investigator, Department of Pediatrics (APC). This is a research-focused role ideal for science postgraduates with NET/GATE qualification.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification (Option 1): Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science
• Qualification (Option 2): Graduate or Post Graduate Degree in a Professional Course, selected through any one of the following national-level exams:
  • CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship) or GATE
  • National-level exams conducted by DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
• Experience: You must have 2 years of research experience

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years

Salary

• Monthly fellowship: Rs. 42,000 per month
• House Rent Allowance (HRA): 20% of fellowship (Rs. 8,400 per month)
• Total monthly take-home: approximately Rs. 50,400 per month

Selection Process

Selection will be done through interview:

1. Shortlisting: Applications will be screened and eligible candidates will be shortlisted. Shortlisted candidates will receive an email notification for the interview.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will appear for interview at the APC 3A Committee Room, Department of Pediatrics, Advanced Pediatrics Centre, PGIMER, Chandigarh.
3. Document Verification: You must bring all original documents at the time of interview for verification.

Note: No separate interview letter will be sent. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
