About This Job

Panjab University Chandigarh is hiring 3 staff members for its DPIIT-IPR Chair under the SPRIHA scheme of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Panjab University DPIIT-IPR Chair Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

The Office of IPR-Chair at Panjab University, Sector-14, Chandigarh has released a notification for 3 contractual posts under the Scheme for Pedagogy & Research in IPRs for Holistic Education and Academia (SPRIHA), funded by DPIIT, Government of India. The positions are temporary and co-terminus with the SPRIHA scheme, which is currently valid till 30 September 2026. Selection is based on merit (40 marks) plus interview (10 marks) — there is no written exam. Candidates with IPR background or coursework will be given preference.

Selection Process

Selection is purely merit-based. There is no written exam. The merit list of the top 8 candidates will be prepared based on the following criteria (out of 50 marks):

  2. IPR-Related Experience (15 marks): Courses completed, research projects, publications, work experience
  3. Computer Literacy & Experience (10 marks): MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Forms, AI, Databases
  4. Communication Skill (5 marks): Courses, workshops, conferences, symposiums attended
  5. Interview (10 marks): IPR Knowledge (5), Communication Skill/Aptitude for Research (3), General Knowledge (2)

The top 8 candidates will be intimated by email to attend an in-person interview at Panjab University, Chandigarh. The merit list will be displayed on the IPR Chair notice board and the Panjab University website.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out research work related to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
  • Prepare documents, reports, surveys, and data presentations
  • Conduct online and offline events such as workshops, seminars, panel discussions, and conferences
  • Handle dispatch and receipt of dak, files, and letters (for MTS)
  • Operate computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Forms
  • Assist the IPR Chair Professor in academic and administrative tasks
  • Maintain office records and coordinate with university departments
  • Support any other IPR-related responsibility assigned by the IPR Chair

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

10+2 (Class 12) for MTS post; Post-Graduate from a UGC-recognized University with 55% marks for Research Officer/Assistant

Preferred Qualification

IPR course at UG/PG/Pre-Ph.D. level with proof; LLM or Post-Graduate degree (for higher salary slab)

Required Skills

MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Forms, AI tools, excellent communication and writing skills, knowledge of English/Punjabi/Hindi (for MTS)
