OSSSC CRE 2025 - Combined Recruitment Exam

Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has released a big recruitment notification called CRE-2025. This is for 3,250 Group B and Group C posts across different departments of the Odisha state government.

Who Can Apply - Eligibility

• Revenue Inspector (RI): Bachelor's Degree + Computer knowledge. Age: 20 to 42 years.
• ICDS Supervisor: Bachelor's Degree. Women candidates only. Age: 21 to 42 years.
• Village Agricultural Worker (VAW): +2 Science or +2 Vocational in Agriculture. Age: 21 to 42 years.
• Junior Assistant (JA): Graduation (Arts/Science/Commerce) + Computer skills. Age: 21 to 42 years. Must belong to the district you are applying for.
• Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI): 10+2 or Diploma in Engineering + Computer knowledge. Age: 20 to 42 years.
• Amin: 10+2 or Diploma in Engineering + Computer knowledge. Age: 20 to 42 years.
• Statistical Field Surveyor (SFS): 10+2. Age: 21 to 42 years.

Age Relaxation: SC/ST/SEBC/Women candidates get 5 years relaxation. PwD candidates get 10 years relaxation.

Salary Details

• Minimum salary: Rs. 18,000 per month (Amin and SFS posts)
• Maximum salary: Up to Rs. 1,12,400 per month (RI and ICDS Supervisor at Level-9)
• DA, HRA, and TA as per Odisha state government rules.

Selection Process

1. Stage-I: Written Test (MCQ) - 100 questions, 100 marks, 1.5 hours. Negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer.
2. Stage-II: Practical Skill Test - Basic Computer Skills, 50 marks, 1 hour (qualifying, minimum 40%).

Exam Pattern - Stage I Written Test

Qualifying marks: 30% for ST/SC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen, 35% for others.

  • Conduct revenue and land record surveys
  • Collect and verify land revenue data
  • Assist in disaster relief work
• ICDS Supervisor:
  • Supervise Anganwadi Centres
  • Monitor nutrition and health programmes for women and children
  • Prepare progress reports
• Village Agricultural Worker (VAW):
  • Guide farmers on modern farming methods
  • Assist in agricultural programmes at village level
  • Collect and report agricultural data
• Junior Assistant (JA):
  • Handle office work, data entry, filing, record keeping
  • Assist senior officers with correspondence
  • Maintain databases using computers
• ARI:
  • Assist RI in land record and survey work
  • Collect revenue information from field visits
• Amin:
  • Carry out land measurement and survey work
  • Prepare maps and sketches of land parcels
• SFS:
  • Collect statistical data through field surveys
  • Compile and verify data for government reports
