Numaligarh Refinery Limited Advisor NREP Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) is a Schedule A Navratna PSU in petroleum refining and marketing. The company is expanding refinery capacity from 3 MMTPA to 9 MMTPA, and the NREP units are moving into important pre-commissioning and commissioning stages. This recruitment is for experienced retired professionals who can support construction, statutory approvals, civil balance jobs, PPU work, expediting and vendor coordination.

Project background: NRL's expansion includes import of crude oil at Paradip Port and a cross-country pipeline from Paradip to Numaligarh. The advertisement says the NREP units need senior support to keep safety, compliance and operational excellence on track during pre-commissioning and commissioning.

Posting locations: Two advisor roles are posted at Numaligarh, while the Expediting and Vendor Coordination role is posted at New Delhi. The notice also says selected advisors should be ready to travel to different work locations as required.

Who Can Apply?

Advisor, NREP Construction & Statutory Approvals

• Qualification: BE/B.Tech, preferably in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 25 years total experience, including at least 5 years in project construction, project commissioning, or technical services.
• Level: PSU retirees should have retired from DGM, GM, CGM or ED rank.
• Special exposure: You should understand refinery process configuration and have handled approvals with bodies such as OISD, PESO and Pollution Control Board.

Advisor, NREP Balance Civil Jobs & PPU

• Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 25 years total experience, including at least 5 years in project construction.
• Special exposure: Prior experience leading civil construction activities in brownfield refinery projects is needed.

Advisor, Expediting & Vendor Coordination

• Qualification: BE/B.Tech in any discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 25 years total experience, including at least 5 years in project management, vendor expediting and supply chain management.
• Special exposure: Prior experience leading oil and gas projects as Project Manager, Head of Expediting, or Head of Supply Chain Management is needed.

Common Conditions

• Source background: NRL will consider retired professionals from NRL, OIL, other PSUs, government and private sector with relevant experience.
• Vigilance clearance: No vigilance case, departmental proceeding or criminal prosecution should be contemplated or pending at the time of applying.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: You should not be more than 65 years.
• Age reference date: Age and experience will be counted as on 30 June 2026.

Salary

• DGM/GM/CGM retirees: All-inclusive monthly salary of Rs. 1,50,000.
• ED retirees: All-inclusive monthly salary of Rs. 1,87,500.
• Private sector or government applicants: Salary will be based on last drawn salary and experience.
• Allowances: The monthly salary is lump sum, and no other allowances are paid. During tours, TA/DA is payable as per NRL equivalent grade up to CGM.
• Leave: Advisors get 20 days paid leave for every 12 months on a pro-rata basis, along with normal NRL company holidays.
• Engagement period: The total engagement is 12 months. Initially it is 6 months, and the balance 6 months depends on satisfactory performance.

Selection Process

NRL will select applicants for the Advisor (NREP) posts through a focused interaction process.

1. Shortlisting: Applications will be checked against qualification, experience, age and role-specific requirements.
2. Personal Interaction: Selection will be based on Personal Interaction, which may be physical or virtual.
3. Medical Fitness: Engagement is subject to being found medically fit by the company-authorised hospital or medical officer.
