• Qualification: You need a Master's degree in Botany, Pharmacognosy, Agriculture, Agronomy or Forestry.
• Experience: You need 10 years post-qualification experience in medicinal plants research, development, policy, programmes or implementation.
• Desirable: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline and knowledge of computer applications.

Assistant Adviser (Botany)

• Service requirement: You should hold an analogous post, or have 5 years service in Level-9 equivalent, or 8 years service in Level-6 equivalent.
• Qualification: You need a Master's degree in Botany or Pharmacognosy.
• Experience: You need 5 years experience in development and propagation of medicinal plants used in Ayurveda, Unani and Homoeopathy.
• Desirable: Ph.D. in Botany or Pharmacognosy and published research work.

Finance and Administrative Officer

• Service requirement: You should hold an analogous post, or have 5 years service in Level-9 equivalent, or 8 years service in Level-6 equivalent.
• Experience: You need 5 years experience in administration, establishment and accounts matters.

Research Officer (Botany)

• Service requirement: Central Government officers should hold an analogous post, or have 3 years service in Level-6 equivalent, or 8 years service in Level-5 equivalent.
• Qualification: You need a Master's degree in Botany or Pharmacy with Pharmacognosy as the main subject.
• Experience: You need 2 years experience in identifying drugs and medicinal plants used in Indian systems of medicine.
• Desirable: Knowledge of pharmacopoeial standards and taxonomy of medicinal plants.

Assistant Research Officer

• Service requirement: You should hold an analogous post, or have 3 years service in Level-6 equivalent, or 6 years service in Level-5 equivalent.
• Qualification: You need an M.Sc. in Botany, Pharmacognosy, Forestry, Agriculture, Horticulture, Medicinal Plants, Biotechnology or Pharmacy with Pharmacognosy as a main subject.
• Other requirement: Knowledge of computer operation is required.

Accountant

• CSCS route: Senior Secretariat Assistant in Level-4 with 8 years regular service can apply if they completed 9 weeks Cash and Accounts training and have 2 years cash, accounts and budget experience.
• Government officer route: Central, State or UT officers holding analogous posts with 6 years service in Level-5 equivalent can apply with the same Cash and Accounts training and 2 years experience.
• Absorption: Only Central, State or UT government officers can be considered for absorption.

Age Limit

• Maximum age for appointment by deputation is 56 years.
