NISER Project Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar is hiring a Project Assistant for its School of Physical Sciences at Jatni, Odisha. The engagement supports the project on transparent perovskite devices for building-integrated photovoltaics, known as TRADE, with funding from the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India. This is a short project appointment through the institute’s Research and Development Section, with no route to a NISER PhD through this engagement.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Limited tenure: Your appointment lasts for two months or until the project finishes, whichever happens first. The position ends with the project, so you should consider that short commitment when deciding whether to apply.
• No absorption claim: Taking up this work gives you no claim to appointment or absorption against another NISER post. The notice treats this as a project-specific arrangement.
• Academic position: The appointment does not lead to a PhD degree at NISER. You should therefore assess it as a temporary project opportunity on its own terms.
• Travel costs: NISER will not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the interview or joining the position. Keep that condition in mind if joining would involve a journey.
