NIELIT Ropar Senior & Assistant Resource Person Recruitment 2026 — 5 Posts

The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Ropar Campus, has released recruitment notice FMG-05-2026 dated 11 April 2026 for 5 contract positions across four specialisations. These positions are co-terminus with the project — initially for one year, with possible extension based on performance and project need. NIELIT is an autonomous scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. Sr. Resource Person (Software Development) — 2 Posts

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in CS/IT/Electronics, or MCA, or equivalent degree from an AICTE/UGC recognised institute, or NIELIT 'B' Level
• Experience: Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in ASP.Net with web forms, SQL Server, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, Web API development, Software Designing/Development/Deployment/Maintenance, Responsive Web Designing, Bootstrap, UI/UX, JavaScript/jQuery, Web Services, or Web Application Security

Asst. Resource Person (Faculty) — 1 Post

• Qualification: BE/BTech, MCA, M.Sc (IT/CS), or NIELIT B Level
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience; preferred experience in teaching subjects like AIML, Python, Web App, NoSQL, Java

Asst. Resource Person (Accounts) — 1 Post

• Qualification: Graduate in Commerce/Finance or equivalent from a recognised university/institution
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in handling accounting tasks
• Desirable: CA (Inter) / CMA (Inter)

Sr. Resource Person (Legal) — 1 Post

• Qualification: Master's Degree / Bachelor's Degree of Law (Regular) from a recognised University, recognised by the Bar Council of India; must be registered as an advocate under the Advocates' Act, 1961
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience working with Government Department/PSUs and/or Supreme Court/High Courts/District Courts
• Open to: Retired Government employees OR Legal professionals from the open market
• For retired government employees: remuneration as per Dept. of Expenditure O.M No. 3-25/2020-E.IIIA dated 09/12/2020

Age Limit

• Sr. Resource Person (Software Development): Maximum 40 years
• Asst. Resource Person (Faculty): No age bar
• Asst. Resource Person (Accounts): Maximum 35 years
• Sr. Resource Person (Legal): Not more than 50 years (for open-market legal professionals)
• Age cutoff date is the initial closing date of the advertisement (24 April 2026)

Salary

• Sr. Resource Person (Software Development): Rs. 45,000/- per month (CTC)
• Asst. Resource Person (Faculty): Rs. 32,000/- per month (CTC)
• Asst. Resource Person (Accounts): Rs. 35,000/- per month (CTC)
• Sr. Resource Person (Legal): Rs. 45,000/- per month (CTC for open-market professionals; retired government employees get remuneration as per DoPT guidelines)
• Note: This is a consolidated CTC. No separate HRA, Medical Allowance, or Transport Allowance is paid.
• Employer's share of EPF, if applicable, is included in the CTC. Net in-hand is approximately Rs. 30,532–42,936 depending on the post and EPF applicability.

Selection Process

Selection is through a Walk-in Interview. There is no written test or online exam.

1. Application & Eligibility Check (9:30 AM – 12:30 PM): Submit your filled application form with fee and self-attested documents. Eligibility is checked on the spot starting 9:45 AM.
2. Walk-in Interview (2:00 PM onwards): Only eligible candidates will be called for interview. The interview carries 30 marks total — 15 marks for subject knowledge and 15 marks for interpersonal skills.
3. Tie-breaking: If two candidates score equally in the interview, the older candidate (by age) gets higher preference.

How to Apply

1. Download the prescribed Application Form from nielit.gov.in/chandigarh/recruitments.
2. Fill in the form completely and paste a recent passport-size colour photograph.
3. Attach self-attested copies of all required documents (see list below).
4. Arrange a Bank Draft / Pay Order for the application fee in favour of "NIELIT Chandigarh" payable at Rupnagar (Ropar).
5. Appear in person at NIELIT Ropar Campus, Birla Farms, Bada Phull, Rupnagar, Punjab – 140001 on 24 April 2026 between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM.
6. Submit your application and fee at the venue. Bring all original certificates for eligibility verification.
7. If found eligible, appear for the walk-in interview starting at 2:00 PM.

• Handle assigned project tasks including software development, testing, deployment, and maintenance (for Software Development role)

• Manage accounts, prepare financial reports, and handle day-to-day accounting operations (for Accounts role)
• Review and interpret service rules, legislation, and arbitration/civil matters of the department (for Legal role)
• Attend court hearings and assist the department in legal matters including drafting affidavits and filing cases
• Prepare reports, maintain records, and support documentation requirements of the project/section
• Follow office timings and respond to project/section requirements including on weekends when needed
• Maintain confidentiality of all information handled during the engagement period
