NIELIT Ropar Multi-Post Recruitment 2026 - 6 Posts

National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Chandigarh at its Ropar Campus in Punjab has announced walk-in interviews for 6 contractual positions under Advertisement No. FMG-03-2026. These posts are spread across accounting and IT functions at NIELIT centres in Ropar, Amritsar, Patiala, and Bathinda. This is a walk-in recruitment with no online application needed. Who Can Apply?

For Resource Person - Accounts (Rs. 35,000/month):

• Qualification: Graduate in Commerce/Finance or equivalent from a recognised university
• Desirable: CA (Inter) / CMA (Inter)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in handling accounting tasks
• Duration: Initially 1 year (may be extended)

For Junior Resource Person - Accounts (Rs. 25,000/month):

• Qualification: Graduate in Commerce/Finance or equivalent from a recognised university
• Desirable: CA (Inter) / CMA (Inter)
• Experience: Not required (freshers can apply)
• Duration: Initially 1 year (may be extended)

For Database Administrator (Rs. 27,583/month):

• Qualification (Option A): BE/B.Tech (CS/IT) or MCA/M.Sc (CS/IT) or NIELIT/DOEACC 'B' Level course
• Qualification (Option B): Graduate with NIELIT/DOEACC 'A' Level course OR Graduate with PGDCA
• Experience: 1 year experience in Database Administration, Software Development/Maintenance, or Data Processing (for Option A); 2 years for Option B
• Punjabi: Must have passed Punjabi in Class 10 or 12
• Skills: Knowledge of Oracle, coordination with client officials, handling technical issues, managing a team of operators
• Duration: Up to 31 March 2027 or co-terminus with the project

For Junior IT Assistant (Rs. 15,178/month):

• Qualification (Option A): BE/B.Tech (CS/IT) or BCA/MCA/M.Sc (CS/IT) or NIELIT/DOEACC 'A' or 'B' Level course
• Qualification (Option B): Graduate in any discipline with minimum 6-month course in computers
• Experience: Not required
• Punjabi: Must have passed Punjabi in Class 10 or 12
• Duration: Up to 31 March 2027 or co-terminus with the project

Age Limit

• For Resource Person (Accounts) and Junior Resource Person (Accounts): Maximum 35 years
• For Database Administrator and Junior IT Assistant: Maximum 45 years
• The cutoff date for calculating age is the initial closing date for applying, i.e., 02 April 2026.

Salary

• Resource Person - Accounts: Rs. 35,000 per month (CTC). Net take-home is Rs. 33,395 (without EPF) or Rs. 29,734 (with EPF)
• Junior Resource Person - Accounts: Rs. 25,000 per month (CTC). Net take-home is Rs. 23,853 (without EPF) or Rs. 20,193 (with EPF)
• Database Administrator: Rs. 27,583 per month (CTC). Net take-home is Rs. 26,318 (without EPF) or Rs. 22,657 (with EPF)
• Junior IT Assistant: Rs. 15,178 per month (CTC). Net take-home is Rs. 14,482 (without EPF) or Rs. 11,338 (with EPF)
• This is consolidated salary. No additional allowances like Medical, HRA, or Transport will be paid.

Application Fee

• SC / ST / PwD / Female candidates: Rs. 350
• All other categories: Rs. 700
• Payment mode: Bank Draft or Bank Pay Order in favour of "NIELIT Chandigarh", payable at Rupnagar (Ropar). You can also pay using Debit/Credit Card at the POS machine at the venue.

Selection Process

NIELIT will use one of these selection methods (you can choose one option when applying):

1. Option A - Written Test: Descriptive or Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) based written exam
2. Option B - Walk-in Interview: Direct interview with 15 marks for subject knowledge and 15 marks for interpersonal skills (total 30 marks)
3. Option C - Written Test + Walk-in Interview: Combination of both written test and interview

In case of a tie, the elder candidate (by age) gets a higher rank.

How to Apply

2. Fill in the application form completely and attach a recent passport-size colour photograph.
3. Arrange the application fee as a Bank Draft/Pay Order or keep your Debit/Credit Card ready for POS payment at the venue.
4. Attach self-attested copies of all required documents (see Required Documents below).
5. Reach NIELIT Ropar, Birla Farms, Bada Phull, Rupnagar, Punjab-140001 on 02 April 2026.
6. Submit your Application Form and fee between 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
7. Eligibility checking starts from 9:45 AM onwards.
8. Attend the interview from 2:00 PM onwards (only if declared eligible).
