About This Job

Apply for Project Technical Support I in NBRC. Records and data-handling experience needed. Salary: Rs 18,000. Last date: 10 Sep 2026.

NBRC Project Technical Support I Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Brain Research Centre (NBRC), working as BRIC-NBRC, is recruiting a Project Technical Support I member for an ICMR-supported study led by Dr Khushbu Agarwal. The project examines whether an odour-simulated virtual-reality intervention can help reduce craving, placing the role at the meeting point of clinical research, participant support and research-data work.

The position suits someone comfortable around medical records, research files and basic sample work. Exposure to patient handling, MATLAB, Python, R or MRI-data processing can strengthen your profile, but the notice presents these as useful experience rather than a single compulsory software combination. Careful record keeping matters because the team will need traceable files and organised research documentation throughout the study.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Project tenure: The initial engagement runs for one year or until project funds remain available, whichever happens first. An extension is possible after a performance review and only while the project continues.
  • Project-linked post: This is not a regular Centre appointment. The position ends with the project, and its terms follow NBRC's project rules and procedures.
  • Shortlisting: Meeting the stated profile does not automatically bring an interview call. A screening committee may restrict the interview list after reviewing the applications, and only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
  • Travel: NBRC will not reimburse TA or DA for attending the interview, so you should factor travel to the Centre into your plans if shortlisted.
  • Proof of claims: Your stated qualifications and work history must be supported by self-attested evidence. An incomplete file or unsupported claim can cause rejection without a separate notice.

Application Submission Notes

The final instruction in the notice requires a hard-copy application by post. Send the completed prescribed form, CV and supporting papers to The Administrative Officer (Academics), National Brain Research Centre, NH-8, Manesar 122052, District Gurugram, Haryana.

Write "Application for Project Technical Support-I (Project)" clearly on the envelope and attach a recent signed passport-size photograph to the form. The form itself displays the academic office email, but the closing application instruction says that applications can only be sent by post; following the postal direction avoids relying on the form's conflicting email note.

Arrange your papers so the screening committee can match every qualification and experience claim with its supporting copy. If you pay the fee electronically or by UPI, keep clear proof of payment with the application; if you use a demand draft, make it in favour of the Director, NBRC, Manesar as stated in the notice.

Responsibilities

  • Keep medical records, research files and supporting documents organised
  • Handle basic research data and maintain accurate study records
  • Support participant and patient handling during project activities
  • Help collect and label samples according to the study workflow
  • Process research data with MATLAB, Python or R when assigned
  • Assist with MRI data handling and routine office coordination
