MVH Junior Resident Recruitment 2026: Overview
Maharishi Valmiki Hospital (MVH), under the Government of NCT of Delhi, is recruiting Junior Residents for its hospital at Pooth Khurd. This is an ad-hoc residency engagement under the hospital residency scheme. Junior Residents must stay in the hostel, so you should factor this into your plans before attending.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Tenure: The appointment lasts for 89 days or until a regular incumbent joins, whichever happens first. The hospital may end your service earlier when Medical Officers or regular Junior Residents join through the Delhi government.
- Hostel stay: Hostel accommodation is compulsory for Junior Residents. The optional hostel question in the shared application form is marked for Senior Residents and does not remove this condition.
- Reservation: If suitable applicants from the reserved category are unavailable, the hospital may fill the seat with someone from the general category or another category on an ad-hoc basis.
- Category certificates: The notice limits OBC non-creamy-layer claims to Delhi and asks for valid OBC and EWS certificates issued by the competent Delhi government authority.
- Vacancy changes: The hospital may change the advertised openings. Reservation for persons with disabilities follows the applicable rules.
- Relaxed residency route: Fresh applicants receive priority. The separate list under relaxed provisions is used only after the fresh list is exhausted, and appointment under this route cannot be extended beyond one year.
- Travel: The hospital will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending.

Minimum Qualification
MBBS from a recognised university, completion of a one-year internship within the two years preceding the interview, and registration with Delhi Medical Council.
