MSEB Holding Company Ltd has released Advertisement No. 09/2026 on behalf of its subsidiary, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL), to fill 3 posts of Regional Director/Executive Director on deputation. The company wants experienced, talented power sector professionals with a strong leadership record to head regional operations. Deputation is for an initial period of 3 years, extendable by one more year or till superannuation, whichever comes first. Both outside candidates on deputation and eligible MSEDCL employees can compete for these posts.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology, or an equivalent qualification, from a recognized university.
• Preferred Qualification: A 2-year full-time (or 3-year part-time) PG Degree/Diploma in Management or Administration with specialization in Marketing or Finance, or a Degree in Law.
• Experience: You need 20 years of post-qualification experience in the power sector, with at least 5 years in a high-responsibility role such as Superintending Engineer or above. Of these, at least 1 year should be as Chief Engineer/Head of Department or an equivalent position.
• Method of Filling: Selected candidates join on deputation for 3 years, extendable by 1 year or till superannuation, whichever is earlier.
• Declaration: As per the Maharashtra Civil Services (Declaration of Small Family) Rules, 2005, you must submit a small family declaration as one of the essential qualifications.
• MSEDCL employees holding a degree in any other Engineering/Technology discipline can also apply under direct recruitment if they meet the experience criteria, but they must compete in the same selection process as other candidates.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit is 52 years as on the date of advertisement (11 August 2026) for candidates from outside MSEDCL.
• MSEDCL employees can apply up to 57 years of age.
• Your date of birth, as recorded on your Secondary School Certificate (SSC), must be correctly mentioned in the application.

Salary

• Selected candidates get a salary in the scale of Rs. 1,49,820 - 6,595 - 2,88,315 per month.
• You will also get Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Medical Benefits, Leave Encashment, and Contributory Provident Fund (CPF) as per company rules.
• Additional facilities like a vehicle, telephone, and mobile connection are provided as per company rules.

Application Fee

• All candidates: Rs. 1,000 (including CGST and SGST), payable by Demand Draft in favour of "MSEB Holding Company Ltd."
• Payment mode: Demand Draft only. Postal Orders, Money Orders, and Cash are not accepted.
• The fee is non-refundable, even if the selection process cannot be conducted for any reason.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on qualification, experience, age, and job responsibility, in proportion to the number of vacancies.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC), a Deputation Forwarding Certificate, and Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs)/APARs for the last 5 years.
3. Interview: Held by the Selection Committee, tentatively in September 2026 at Mumbai. You need a minimum of 15 out of 50 marks in the interview to be considered for the final result.

Mere possession of the prescribed qualification and experience does not guarantee a call for the selection process. MSEB Holding Company Ltd. reserves the right to set its own shortlisting criteria depending on the number and quality of applications received.
