The Meghalaya State Disaster Management Authority (MSDMA), under the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Meghalaya, has advertised 2 contractual posts — one Supervisor and one Operator — for the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS-112) for Disaster Emergencies project. The Government of Meghalaya took over operation of the ERSS-112 disaster emergency component from April 2026, integrating it with the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC) in Shillong. The engagement is purely contractual for an initial period of one year, which may be extended based on your performance and project requirements.

Who Can Apply?

For Supervisor (Rs. 35,000/month):

• You need a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university, preferably with a technical background, plus a Diploma in Computer Applications.
• You need at least 2 years of work experience, preferably in a government setting, disaster management work, or supervising a call centre/telephonic operations.
• You should be comfortable with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MIS and AI-based productivity tools, and be able to manage 24x7 shift operations and prepare situation reports (SITREPs).

For Operator (Rs. 30,000/month):

• You need to have passed Class 12 (10+2) as the minimum qualification, plus a Certificate Course in Computer Applications.
• You need at least 1 year of work experience, preferably in a call management system, call centre, or telephonic helpline, in a government setting.
• You should have good call-handling and communication skills and be willing to work 24x7 shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 32 years old.
• Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates of Meghalaya.

Salary

• The Supervisor post pays a fixed Rs. 35,000 per month.
• The Operator post pays a fixed Rs. 30,000 per month.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in these stages:

1. Application Screening: Your application, Resume/CV, and supporting documents will be checked against the eligibility criteria.
2. Shortlisting: Only candidates meeting the prescribed criteria will be shortlisted.
3. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates must appear for a Personal Interview in Shillong. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
4. Document Verification: You must bring all original certificates and testimonials for verification at the time of the interview.
