Maharashtra State AIDS Control Society (MSACS) is hiring 4 staff — 3 Medical Officers and 1 Pharmacist — for ART Centres in Thane district on a contract basis. Maharashtra State AIDS Control Society (MSACS) Medical Officer and Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 - 4 Posts

The District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit, Civil Hospital Thane, under Maharashtra State AIDS Control Society (MSACS), is inviting applications for 4 contract posts at its Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART) Centres. These posts are meant for people who want to work in public health and HIV/AIDS care. A waiting list will also be prepared and stays valid for one year, so extra eligible candidates also get a chance.

Vacancy Breakdown

• Medical Officer: 3 posts — one each at IGM Hospital Bhiwandi, Bharatratna Indira Gandhi Hospital Miraroad, and Municipal General Hospital Vashi (Navi Mumbai), plus a waiting list for all ART Centres.
• Pharmacist: 1 post — at IGM Hospital Bhiwandi ART Centre, plus a waiting list for all ART Centres in Thane district.

Who Can Apply?

Medical Officer (Rs. 72,000/month):

• Qualification: MBBS from a recognised institute. Preference is given to candidates trained by NACO at a designated training centre.

Pharmacist (Rs. 21,000/month):

• Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) OR Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm). You must be registered with the State Pharmacy Council.
• Experience: Diploma holders need 3 years of experience. You should also know computers (MSCIT / DOEACC-CCC).
• Community candidates from HIV infected and affected groups are preferred.

Age Limit

• Medical Officer: Upper age limit is 62 years as on the advertisement date (25 June 2026). Contract can continue up to 65 years.
• Pharmacist: Upper age limit is 60 years. Contract can continue up to 62 years.

Salary

• Medical Officer: Rs. 72,000 per month (consolidated).
• Pharmacist: Rs. 21,000 per month (consolidated).
• No TA, DA or HRA is paid — only the fixed monthly amount.

Selection Process

Selection is done after checking the applications received:

1. Screening: Applications are scrutinised and eligible candidates are shortlisted.
2. Written Exam / Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for a written test or interview.
3. Walk-in Interview (Medical Officer): Held on 20 July 2026 at the Civil Surgeon Office, District Civil Hospital, Thane (West). Bring original documents with one attested copy.
4. Document Verification: Carry your MBBS/Pharmacy certificates, registration certificate, mark lists and ID proof.

• Coordinate with hospital staff and report data to the district unit.
