About This Job

The Mizoram Public Service Commission (MPSC) is hiring for the Junior Grade of Mizoram Health Service through a Combined Competitive Examination 2026. Who Can Apply?

GDMO Sub-Cadre (20 posts)

  • Registration: Permanent registration from the Mizoram State Medical Council
  • Preference: Candidates with prior rural area service get preference

Dental Surgeon Sub-Cadre (5 posts)

  • Qualification: BDS Degree from a recognized university
  • Registration: Permanent registration from a recognized National Council or State Council

Mizo Language Proficiency

You must pass a qualifying Mizo Language Proficiency test. You are exempted from this test if you studied Mizo as a subject in Class X (HSLC) or above within Mizoram, or chose Mizo as MIL outside Mizoram.

Computer Proficiency

You must meet the computer proficiency standard prescribed by the Mizoram Group A, B and C posts Service/Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 21 years

Salary

Responsibilities

  • Provide general medical care and treatment to patients at Mizoram government health facilities (GDMO)
  • Diagnose and treat dental conditions, perform extractions and basic dental procedures (Dental Surgeon)
  • Handle outpatient consultations, ward rounds and emergency duties as assigned
  • Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
  • Support public health programmes and immunisation drives in your posting district
  • Attend rural posting duties when assigned by the Health & Family Welfare Department
  • Follow standard treatment protocols issued by the Government of Mizoram
  • Coordinate with paramedical staff and senior medical officers for patient care

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

MBBS for GDMO; BDS for Dental Surgeon. Permanent registration with Mizoram State Medical Council (GDMO) or recognised National/State Council (Dental).

Preferred Qualification

Prior rural area service is preferred for GDMO posts.

Required Skills

Computer proficiency as per Mizoram Group A/B/C Recruitment Amendment Rules 2023. Mizo language proficiency (or exemption based on HSLC Mizo subject).
