MPMRCL is hiring 1 Manager/Assistant Manager (Traction) for its metro rail projects in Madhya Pradesh. MPMRCL Manager/Assistant Manager Traction Recruitment 2026 – 1 Post
Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL), a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Madhya Pradesh, is implementing the Bhopal Metro Rail Project and the Indore Metro Rail Project across the state. The corporation is looking for an experienced professional in the Traction sub-domain to fill one post of Manager or Assistant Manager on Deputation, Contract, or Re-employment basis. Both the Bhopal Metro and Indore Metro have already started commercial operations (December 2025 and May 2025 respectively), making this a role with immediate operational impact.

Educational Qualification
- You need a B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a government-recognised Institute or University.
Work Experience
- You should have experience in contract management, installation, testing and commissioning and/or Operation & Maintenance of Traction or Power Supply in a Metro / LRT / High-Speed Rail organisation, Indian Railways, or a Power Supply Utility.
For Manager (Grade E3)
- Minimum 6 years post-qualification experience, including 3 years in the relevant field/sub-domain (for Deputation/Contract applicants)
- Minimum 6 years post-qualification experience, including 3 years in the relevant field/sub-domain (for Re-employment applicants)
- You should be currently working or retired from IDA Pay Scale of Rs. 60,000–1,80,000 or CDA Pay Matrix Level-10 (7th CPC) or above
For Assistant Manager (Grade E2)
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, including 1 year in the relevant field/sub-domain (for Deputation/Contract applicants)
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, including 1 year in the relevant field/sub-domain (for Re-employment applicants)
- You should be currently working or retired from IDA Pay Scale of Rs. 50,000–1,60,000 or CDA Pay Matrix Level-8 Group B (7th CPC) or above
Who Should Apply
- You should currently be working in Railways, Railway PSUs, Metro organisations, Metro PSUs, or a Government/PSU organisation
- OR working in a Private firm serving Metro organisations/Consultant firms at the applicable pay scale/CTC

Age Limit
- Contract (Manager/Assistant Manager): Maximum 45 years
- Deputation: Maximum 58 years (if retirement age at current org is 60) or Maximum 60 years (if retirement age at current org is 62)
- Re-employment: Minimum 55 years, Maximum 63 years
- Age and experience will be reckoned as on the closing date of the advertisement (24 April 2026)
Salary
- Manager (Grade E3) – Contract: Rs. 60,000–1,80,000 per month (IDA Pay Scale)
- Manager (Grade E3) – Deputation: Parent Pay + Deputation Allowances and other applicable allowances OR Pay and allowances as per MPMRCL rules
- Manager (Grade E3) – Re-employment: Consolidated pay (retired from Level 10: Rs. 68,300/month) plus other applicable allowances
- Assistant Manager (Grade E2) – Contract: Rs. 50,000–1,60,000 per month (IDA Pay Scale)
- Assistant Manager (Grade E2) – Deputation: Parent Pay + Deputation Allowances and other applicable allowances OR Pay and allowances as per MPMRCL rules
- Assistant Manager (Grade E2) – Re-employment: Consolidated pay (retired from Level 8 Group B: Rs. 66,000/month) plus other applicable allowances
- Apart from the pay, other benefits will also be paid as per MPMRCL Company Policy

Selection Process
The selection will be done in 2 stages:
- Shortlisting: Based on relevant Metro experience and seniority in the desired pay scale. Priority for shortlisting shall be relevant Metro/Rail experience. MPMRCL reserves the right to shortlist candidates for interview — possessing minimum experience does not guarantee a call for interview.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview in online or offline mode on scheduled dates. You need to bring all original documents and experience certificates. Shortlisted candidates will be informed through their registered email ID.
Note: Management reserves the right to conduct a written test if required. MPMRCL may relax selection criteria for candidates with good experience in similar projects.

Responsibilities
- Manage contract execution, installation, testing, and commissioning of Traction and Power Supply systems on the metro network
- Oversee Operation and Maintenance of Traction or Power Supply systems at Bhopal or Indore Metro stations
- Coordinate with contractors, OEMs, and internal teams to ensure safe and reliable metro operations
- Monitor performance of traction equipment and prepare technical reports for management review
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, CMRS guidelines, and statutory requirements for metro rail systems
- Handle technical queries, root cause analysis for breakdowns, and corrective action planning
- Support commissioning activities for new metro sections and system upgrades as required
