RRB Paramedical Recruitment 2026: Overview

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), under the Ministry of Railways, are recruiting paramedical staff through Centralised Employment Notification CEN 05/2026. This regular recruitment brings together nursing, public-health and diagnostic roles for railway establishments. Post-wise Duties

Nursing Superintendent

In this role, you would support patient care and nursing records. These are general role duties; the notice does not provide a daily duty roster.

Dialysis Technician

You would help with dialysis equipment and treatment support, following the clinical team’s directions and safety procedures.

Health and Malaria Inspector Grade II

Your work would centre on sanitation and malaria prevention, including keeping inspection records and reporting health concerns.

Audiologist and Speech Therapist

You would support hearing and speech assessments and keep records of therapy and patient progress.

Pharmacist Entry Grade

You would handle prescribed medicines, keep stock records and explain medicine-use instructions within your professional role.

Radiographer X-Ray Technician

You would help patients through diagnostic imaging and follow radiation-safety procedures when using imaging equipment.

ECG Technician

You would prepare patients for ECG recordings and keep clear test records for the clinical team.

Optometrist

You would support vision testing and record findings for the eye-care team.

Lab Assistant Grade II

You would support sample handling and laboratory records, following the unit’s testing and safety procedures.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Post preferences: You can choose only one RRB. If you leave a post or railway zone out of your preferences, you will normally be considered only for the options you selected. Multiple applications can lead to rejection and debarment.
• Allotment: Railway-zone allocation depends on your merit, preferences and the available posts. The RRB can also allot a different zone or unit in the administration’s interest under the notice’s conditions.
• Transfer: Your first railway establishment is ordinarily your long-term posting. A transfer to another railway is not an automatic right; requests are not registered until at least 5 to 10 years of service.
• Service liability: The competent authority can transfer staff to another railway establishment, including projects in or outside India. Appointed staff can also be called for active service in the Railway Medical Unit of the Territorial Army.
• Joining conditions: A security or indemnity bond may apply when you join. The railway administration issues the appointment offer; an RRB recommendation alone does not create an appointment.
• Reservation: Check the post-specific disability suitability in Annexure A. State OBC recognition alone does not establish entitlement under the central OBC list.
