MPMRCL General Manager Underground Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL), a joint venture of the Government of India and Government of Madhya Pradesh, has released notification number Advt No. 4482/HRD/MPMRCL-076/2026 for 1 General Manager (Underground) post on Deputation, Contract, or Re-employment basis. This is a senior-level E-8 grade post for the Civil domain (Underground sub-domain), involving Bhopal Metro Rail Project and Indore Metro Rail Project. Experienced engineers from Metro/Railways/RRTS/High Speed Rail projects with knowledge of TBM, NATM, and Cut & Cover tunnel construction methods can apply.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a Government recognised university or institute

Work Experience

• You should have knowledge and working experience of Underground Transport Tunnels, Underground Stations, and Cross Passages built using TBM, NATM, or Cut & Cover methods
• Preference will be given if you have working experience in Metro, Railways, RRTS, or High Speed Railway Infrastructure projects
• You should be well versed across the project life cycle - construction of Stations, Viaducts, Bridges, DPR preparation, Planning, Design, Estimation, Tendering, Construction Monitoring, Project Management, Civil Works, and Commissioning

Experience Requirement (Contract / Deputation Basis)

• Minimum 21 years post-qualification experience with at least 7 years in relevant field/sub-domain
• You should be presently working in IDA pay scale of Rs. 1,20,000 - 2,80,000 OR CDA Pay Matrix Level-14 (7th CPC) or above
• OR working for 3 years in IDA Pay scale Rs. 1,00,000 - 2,60,000
• OR working for 5 years in CDA Pay Matrix Level-13A/13 (7th CPC)
• OR consolidated pay of minimum Rs. 1,40,000 per month and working at the level of GM/E-8 or above in Government Organisation

Experience Requirement (Re-employment Basis)

• Minimum 21 years post-qualification experience with 7 years in relevant field/sub-domain
• You should be presently working or retired from IDA pay scale of Rs. 1,20,000 - 2,80,000 or above OR CDA Pay Matrix Level-14 (7th CPC) or above

Age Limit

• For Deputation basis: Maximum 58 years (where retirement age in your current organisation is 60 years) OR maximum 60 years (where retirement age is 62 years) as on the cutoff date
• For Contract basis: Maximum 57 years
• For Re-employment basis: Between 55 to 63 years
• Age and experience will be reckoned as on the closing date of advertisement (21 June 2026)

Salary

• Grade: E-8
• Contract basis: IDA pay scale of Rs. 1,20,000 to Rs. 2,80,000 per month
• Deputation basis: Parent pay plus Deputation Allowances and other applicable allowances, OR Pay & allowances of MPMRCL as per corporation rules
• Re-employment basis: Consolidated pay for retired officers - Retired from Level 14 receive Rs. 1,65,900 per month plus other applicable allowances
• Other benefits will be paid as per MPMRCL Company Policy

Selection Process

The selection will be based on:

1. Shortlisting: Based on relevant Metro experience and seniority in desired pay scale
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for online or offline interview with all original documents and experience certificates
3. Written Test (if required): Management reserves the right to conduct a written test for the post
4. Medical Examination: Selected candidates will be sent for medical examination as per medical standards prescribed by MPMRCL
5. Document Verification: Original documents in support of date of birth, qualifications, experience, pay scale, promotion order, and current pay slip must be shown

• Oversee commissioning of underground structures and ensure adherence to Metro Rail Safety standards
