Service Conditions and Caveats

• Deputation term: The main circular describes an initial three-year term, with a possible extension up to five years. It also says the ordinary deputation period includes time spent immediately beforehand in another ex-cadre post in the same or another Central Government office.
• Annexure differences: The Junior Hindi Translator annexure contains inconsistent deputation-period notes. Ask the Regional Office to clarify the applicable provision before relying on an extension.
• Governing conditions: The appointment follows the Department of Personnel and Training and ministry orders cited in the circular, including later amendments. These orders govern the deputation arrangement alongside the post-specific annexures.
• Section Officer route: Departmental officers directly in the promotion line are excluded from consideration through deputation. Deputationists are likewise excluded from consideration through promotion under the note for this post.
• Assistant route: The notice includes a separate provision for the departmental Upper Division Clerk. If selected under that provision, the appointment is treated as promotion rather than deputation.
• Release by the parent office: The circular asks for officials who can be relieved immediately after selection. Your current organisation therefore needs to be involved before the application reaches Nagpur.
