Kerala HC Clerical Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview

High Court of Kerala is conducting a special recruitment for Clerical Assistant through Recruitment No. 20/2026. This is a focused drive for the disability groups named in the notification, and appointment will be made under the Kerala High Court Service Rules rather than as a general open-category clerical recruitment.

The post supports the court's day-to-day administrative work at Kochi. Your accuracy, reading and writing ability, communication and careful handling of records matter because the role sits inside a judicial institution. Applicants outside the specified benchmark-disability groups will not be considered under this special drive.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Special-recruitment scope: The drive covers persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder (mild), Specific Learning Disability or Mental Illness in the notified range, and specified multiple-disability combinations involving visual, hearing, locomotor and listed developmental or mental conditions.
  • Functional requirements: The prescribed work functions include sitting or standing, finger manipulation, reading and writing, and communication. You must produce the job-oriented physical and functionality certificate in the portal's format when called.
  • Ranked list: The special-recruitment list remains valid until the candidate is advised and appointed against the notified opening.
  • Scribe support: If your writing speed is affected, you may request a scribe in the online form. The scribe must satisfy the High Court's qualification rule, and eligible candidates can receive compensatory time after producing the prescribed medical certificate.
  • Test centre: Any written test under this recruitment will be held in Ernakulam.
  • Government employees: Keep a no-objection or service certificate from your head of office ready; failure to produce it when called can cancel your candidature.
  • Original records: All claims remain provisional until the High Court checks your age, qualification, disability and relaxation records.

Application Submission Notes

You must first complete One Time Registration on the High Court recruitment portal. After updating My Profile, use the Apply Now option on your dashboard, preview every entry carefully and then complete the online submission. The portal does not allow editing after final submission.

Prepare clear scanned images of your photograph and signature before starting. The photograph should show your face and shoulders clearly against a white or light-coloured background. Keep a soft or printed copy of the submitted form for your records; you do not need to post that printout or supporting documents to the High Court.

If you are applying from abroad, email recruitment.hckerala@nic.in with your location and public IP address to request portal access, and inform the cell again after you finish. Admission tickets and interview call letters will be available through your profile, with alerts sent by SMS or email.
