Kasganj POCSO Support Person Empanelment 2026

Kasganj District Administration, Uttar Pradesh is inviting applications for empanelment as Support Person under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012. If you are a graduate aged 21 to 50 years and a resident of Kasganj district, you can apply offline. The last date to submit your application is 10 August 2026. Each empanelled Support Person is paid Rs. 15,000 per case as a consolidated amount, not a monthly salary.

The District Probation Office, Kasganj has invited applications from social workers, subject specialists and interested individuals to be empanelled as Support Persons under the POCSO Act, 2012 and the POCSO Rules, 2020, as per Uttar Pradesh Government Order No. 1038/60-1-2023 dated 28 September 2023. A Support Person's job is to assist child victims of sexual offences throughout the investigation and trial in POCSO court proceedings — this includes helping families understand legal processes and coordinating with child welfare authorities. This is an empanelment, not a fixed-vacancy recruitment — there is no set number of posts, and selected candidates are paid per case they support.

Under the POCSO Act, cases of child sexual abuse are tried in designated POCSO courts, and every child victim has the right to a Support Person to guide them and their family through the investigation and trial. This makes the role important — you become the point of contact who helps a child understand what is happening, keeps their family informed, and coordinates with the police and the court so that the case moves forward smoothly, without adding to the child's distress.

This empanelment drive is being carried out under Uttar Pradesh Shasanadesh (Government Order) No. 1038/60-1-2023 dated 28 September 2023, following Section 39 of the POCSO Act, 2012. As per this provision, Support Persons can be drawn from social workers, subject specialists, non-governmental organisations, or individuals who understand child psychology, social work, and physical and mental health development. This is an empanelment, not a fixed-vacancy recruitment — there is no set number of posts, and selected candidates are paid per case they support.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Graduate degree (Bachelor's) from any recognized university
• Skills: You must have basic computer knowledge
• Domicile: You must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh, and you should have lived in the Kasganj district (where you wish to work) for approximately 10 years
• Background: Social workers, counsellors, and people with knowledge of child psychology, social work, physical health or mental health development are preferred, as per Section 39 of the POCSO Act

Age Limit

• You should be between 21 and 50 years old to apply for empanelment as a Support Person.

Salary

• This is not a monthly-salaried post. Empanelled Support Persons are paid a consolidated amount of Rs. 15,000 per case they support.
• Departmental Support Persons (if any) may receive their assistance duties as part of their existing service, with special leave for this work.

Selection Process

There is no written exam for this empanelment.

1. Application Scrutiny: The District Probation Office, Kasganj reviews all applications received for eligibility and background.
2. Empanelment: Eligible candidates are empanelled as Support Persons under the POCSO Act and Rules.

Applications should reach the District Probation Office along with the notice and its terms and conditions, published on the Kasganj NIC website, for the empanelment process to proceed as directed by the district administration.
