The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has released Notification No. 04-PSC (DR-P) of 2026, dated 9 June 2026, to fill 1 post of Assistant Professor (Hospital Administration) at the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, Srinagar. This is a direct recruitment post under the Open Merit (OM) category, governed by the Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2025 and the Recruitment Rules notified vide Gazette Notification No. N-PO51(12)/18/2024-PGMEG-NMC dated 30 June 2025. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must hold an MD (Hospital Administration) degree.
• Experience: You need 3 years of teaching and research experience in a recognized institution in Hospital Administration after obtaining your MD.
• Publications: You should have original papers, meta-analyses, systematic reviews, or case series published in journals indexed in Medline, PubMed, Central/Science Citation Index, Embase, Scopus or DOAJ. Only papers published in a recognized National/International specialty journal or society journal covered by these indexes will be counted.
• Citizenship: You must be a citizen of India.
• In-service candidates: If you already work in government service, you must apply online and also route your application, attested by your Head of Department, through your administrative department.

Age Limit

• You should not be more than 50 years old as on 1 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates.
• SKIMS employees get age relaxation as per Government Order No. 09-SKIMS of 2013.

Salary

• You will get a salary of Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month under Pay Level 11 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Jammu & Kashmir Government/SKIMS rules.

Important Instructions

• Avoid submitting multiple applications using different name prefixes or user IDs — only the application with the higher Registration ID (RID) will be considered, and fee paid against one RID cannot be adjusted to another.

4. Upload a recent, date-stamped passport-size color photograph (taken on or after 1 January 2026) and your signature, each between 10KB and 20KB in JPEG format.
5. Fill in the online application form for Assistant Professor (Hospital Administration) and upload all required documents, including your category certificate if applicable.
