JEPC Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) is recruiting programme managers, information technology staff, finance staff and civil works staff for its education programmes across Jharkhand. These are short-term contractual appointments in state, district and block offices under the School Education and Literacy Department. The council implements Samagra Shiksha alongside programmes for residential schooling and school improvement, so your work will support education delivery beyond the classroom.

Posts and Disciplines

  • State Programme Managers: Separate roles cover human resources; media, publications and communication engagement; digital and ICT programmes; residential schools, KGBV and out-of-school children; and procurement.
  • District and Assistant Programme Managers: These roles support programme delivery and coordination between state offices, district teams and schools.
  • Expert EMIS and Assistant Computer Programmer: These posts support the education management information system and the council's education data platforms.
  • Finance Controller, Finance and Account Officer, Accounts Officer and Auditor: These roles cover financial control, accounts and audit at the levels identified in the notice.
  • Junior Engineer: This is a block-level civil works role connected with school construction.

Post-wise Duties

Programme Managers

In human resources, you will handle staff contracts, service records and professional development. The media role covers publications, public communication and community mobilisation, while the digital role oversees school technology programmes. Residential-school work includes tracking children who are outside formal schooling; procurement work supports programme planning and coordination.

District and Assistant Programme Managers

You will help teams plan and review education programmes, analyse progress reports and coordinate with government offices. Assistant Programme Managers also visit schools and project sites, provide field support and help prepare programme reports.

Expert EMIS and Assistant Computer Programmer

You will support data collection, processing and analysis for education programmes. The Expert EMIS role includes software and information-system development, while the programmer role also supports internet operations and e-Vidyavahini.

Finance and Accounts Staff

You will work on budgets, fund flow, accounts or audit, depending on your post. The Finance Controller oversees financial reporting, account officers support financial controls, and the Auditor follows up on audit observations and corrections.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Contract period: Appointment initially lasts one year. Further yearly extensions depend on satisfactory performance and continuation of the programme.
  • Reservation: Jharkhand's reserved-category benefits apply to people domiciled in the state. Applicants from other states are considered under the unreserved category where such posts are available.
  • Post choice: You may apply for only one post under this recruitment, so compare the role descriptions before choosing.
  • Selection panel: The panel remains valid for one year after selection, and appointments may be made as needs arise.
  • Field assignments: Assistant Programme Managers must be ready for school and project visits, including overnight field stays.
  • Recruitment decisions: JEPC may reject applications or cancel the recruitment. Canvassing can disqualify you, and disputes fall under Ranchi court jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage staff records and training in the HR role.
  • Coordinate media communication and community activities in the media role.
  • Monitor digital education and residential-school programmes in the relevant management roles.
  • Analyse district programme reports and support school visits.
