About This Job
IRCTC is hiring 92 Hospitality Monitors on a contract basis under its North Zone. If you have a B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, BBA/MBA in Culinary Arts, or an equivalent hotel management degree, you can attend the walk-in interview. Freshers can apply — no prior experience is needed. The walk-in interviews start on 03 June 2026 and run till 24 June 2026 across five cities. Salary is Rs. 30,000 per month (CTC) plus daily allowance, lodging charges, and other benefits.
IRCTC North Zone Hospitality Monitor Recruitment 2026 - 92 Posts
Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC), North Zone has released Notification No. 2026/IRCTC/NZ/HRD/Contractual/Hospitality Monitor dated 13 May 2026 for engagement of 92 Hospitality Monitors on a contract basis. The contract is for 2 years initially, extendable by one more year based on performance. Selected candidates will supervise and monitor food production, quality, and services in IRCTC catering units across Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Chandigarh, and Jammu & Kashmir.

Who Can Apply?
Educational Qualification (any one of the following):
- Full-time B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from a Central or State Institute of Hotel Management (CIHM / SIHM / PIHM) affiliated to NCHM & CT / UGC / AICTE / Government of India, OR
- BBA / MBA (Culinary Arts) from Indian Culinary Institutes under Ministry of Tourism, OR
- B.Sc Hotel Management and Catering Science from a Government-recognised University affiliated to UGC / AICTE / Government of India / State Government, OR
- MBA (Tourism and Hotel Management) from a Government-recognised University affiliated to UGC / AICTE / Government of India / State Government
Other Requirements:
- Experience: Freshers with the relevant educational qualification can apply
- Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible
- Knowledge of computer (MS Office) and report preparation is desirable
- Candidates working in Government / PSUs must apply through proper channel or submit NOC
Age Limit
- Upper age limit: 27 years for UR (as on 01 May 2026)
- SC / ST: Upper age relaxable by 5 years
- OBC: Upper age relaxable by 3 years
- PwBD: Upper age relaxable by 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Up to the extent of service rendered in defence plus 3 years
Salary
- CTC: Rs. 30,000 per month (including statutory deductions)
- Daily Allowance (on-duty on-board in trains): Rs. 350 per day (100% for more than 12 hours, 70% for 6 to 12 hours, 30% for less than 6 hours)
- Lodging Charges: Rs. 240 per night for outstation night stay
- National Holiday Allowance (NHA): As per extant policy if worked
- Medical Insurance: Reimbursable on submission of valid documents as per policy
Application Fee
- No application fee. Candidates only need to attend the walk-in interview with documents.
- Selected candidates must furnish a security deposit of Rs. 25,000 by Demand Draft payable to IRCTC Ltd, New Delhi.
- No TA / DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview.
Selection Process (No Written Exam)
Selection is based on walk-in interview only:

- Personal Interview: Based on credentials and performance, candidates are shortlisted
- Medical Fitness Test: Selected candidates must be medically fit as per IRCTC standards

Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor food production, quality, and services in IRCTC mobile and static catering units
- Ensure compliance with IRCTC company policies and standard hospitality procedures
- Check that proper manpower and materials are available at nominated catering units
- Resolve passenger and customer complaints and manage feedback effectively
- Collect feedback, analyse it, and apply course corrections for service improvement
- Ensure statutory compliance and follow food safety regulations at all times
- Supervise and educate catering staff on proper upkeep of equipment and devices
- Coordinate with various IRCTC departments, regional offices, and business partners
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from CIHM/SIHM/PIHM, or BBA/MBA in Culinary Arts, or B.Sc Hotel Management and Catering Science, or MBA (Tourism and Hotel Management) from UGC/AICTE recognised university
Preferred Qualification
Knowledge of computer (MS Office) and report preparation
