IIT Palakkad Project Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad (IIT Palakkad) has released a notification (Ref: IITPKD/2026/019/BSE/PRK) for 1 Project Assistant post to join a team that designs proteins from scratch using algorithms, omics analyses, and protein design. This is a 12-month contract role and the work is research-intensive. MSc graduates with the right mix of computational and lab skills should apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: MSc (degree completed or result awaited).

Required Skills

You need to have at least three out of these four skills:

• Programming — medium to advanced level
• Protein Structure Bioinformatics
• Molecular Biology — hands-on lab experience
• Omics Analyses

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 31 years (as on the closing date of application).
• Age Relaxation: Available for OBC, SC, ST, PwD candidates and women applicants as per Government of India norms.

Salary

• Consolidated monthly salary: Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000 per month.
• Hostel accommodation may be provided at the institute based on availability (on a chargeable basis).
• Appointment duration: 12 months.
