IIT Jammu Project Staff Recruitment 2026 - 7 Posts

Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu) has released Advertisement No. IITJMU/RC/RP00204/A-06 dated 13 May 2026 for project staff in the Department of Electrical Engineering. The project is titled Real-time monitoring and control of HVAC systems, supported by comprehensive data-library creation and dedicated IoT hardware development. This is a short-term project appointment; the initial duration is 5 months for RA-III and Project Associate-I, and 4.5 months for Multi-tasking Staff, with extension based on performance and project need.

The project work is focused on HVAC IoT systems. Who Can Apply?

RA-III

• Engineering degree route: Four-year Bachelor's degree with at least 75% marks or 7.5/10 CGPA from Class XII onward in ECE, Electronics and Telecommunication, Electrical, Electrical and Electronics, or Computer Science Engineering.
• Experience route: You need 8 years of R&D experience, including 4 years in science and technology programme planning, development and cooperation.
• Postgraduate route: M.Tech/M.E. with 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA in Embedded Systems, ECE, VLSI, IoT, Wireless Communication, Computer Science or a related discipline, plus B.Tech/B.E. in a listed engineering discipline and 6 years R&D experience.
• Doctoral route: Ph.D. in Embedded Systems, ECE, VLSI, IoT, Wireless Communication, Computer Science or a related field, along with the required M.Tech/M.E. and B.Tech/B.E. background.
• Preferred: Valid GATE score and strong skills in IoT systems, wireless communication, PCB design, embedded systems, RS485, SPI, I2C and UART.

Project Associate-I

• Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering.
• Marks: Minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA throughout academic career starting from Class XII.
• Preferred: Valid GATE score and hands-on skills in React.js, Next.js, Node.js, Firebase, REST APIs, WebSockets, NoSQL databases, Blender and Three.js.

Multi-tasking Staff

• Qualification: Degree in any domain.
• Required skill: Computer knowledge is required because the role includes office support, records, diary, dispatch and related project support work.
