Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar), one of the newest IITs established in 2008, is located at Palaj, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The institute has invited applications for 1 Program Manager-I position in the Electrical Engineering department under Prof. Naran M. Pindoriya. This is a one-year contract position focused on the Executive Masters programme designed for professionals in electricity utilities covering generation, transmission, distribution, and commercial operations.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• PhD in Electrical Engineering with relevant knowledge and skills
• Minimum 60% or equivalent in Graduation and above
• Minimum 55% or equivalent grade in 10th and 12th
• Strong academic and research track records throughout

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Strong understanding of electricity markets and economics
• Knowledge of smart grid and renewable energy grid integration
• Understanding of grid optimization
• Knowledge of electricity regulation and policy

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of power system simulation tools
• Experience with GAMS (General Algebraic Modeling System)
• Python programming skills

Salary

• Consolidated Monthly Pay: Rs 60,000 to Rs 93,000
• Salary is commensurate with your academic credentials and relevant knowledge/skills
• This is a consolidated pay — no separate allowances like DA, HRA, etc.
