IIIT Sri City Project Associate Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Sri City, Chittoor (IIIT Sri City) is hiring a Project Associate for AgriDrone-Phenotype. This temporary research appointment supports a project combining imaging from unmanned aerial vehicles with deep learning to estimate plant growth and count plants in field phenotyping.

The project is linked to AgriHub at IIT Indore, an agriculture innovation hub focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning. You would join a project at IIIT Sri City in Andhra Pradesh, an institute whose research connects information technology and electronics with practical applications.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project duration: The project is advertised for one year. Your association with the institute ends automatically when the project closes, so you should plan for a project-based engagement.
• Joining: If selected, you must be ready to report to the institute immediately. Consider this condition when assessing your availability.
• Continuity: Leaving before project completion is strongly discouraged. Either you or the principal investigator may end the association by giving one month's written notice.
• Performance: Progress is reviewed continuously. An unsatisfactory contribution may result in the institute ending your engagement.
• Experience certificate: You need at least six months of service and must follow the institute's exit and handover procedures to receive an experience certificate.
• Further study: You can apply separately for the institute's regular PhD programme. Its admission requirements and assessment still apply.
• Information accuracy: You are responsible for the authenticity of the information, photographs and documents you provide.
