ICMR NITHR Young Professional I Admin Recruitment 2026: Overview

ICMR-National Institute for Tribal Health Research (ICMR-NITHR), Jabalpur is engaging a Young Professional I in Administration to support research programmes and project administration. The institute works under the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This is a temporary contract engagement governed by ICMR’s Young Professional scheme.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial engagement: Your first contract will be for one year. It can be extended twice, one year at a time, if the institute still needs the services and the Director finds your performance satisfactory.
• Overall limit: The engagement cannot exceed three years in total. An extension depends on an assessment; it is not an automatic part of the initial appointment.
• No regular-service claim: Working in this position does not give you a right to a regular job, absorption, transfer to another project or a further assignment with ICMR or a government department.
• Staff facilities: Provident fund, pension, leave travel concession, medical claims, staff quarters and other facilities available to regular staff do not apply to this project position.
• Interview expenses: Arrange your own travel and stay. The institute will not pay TA/DA for attending the interview.
• Institute’s discretion: The Director may reject an application, end the engagement during its agreed or extended term, or change or cancel the recruitment process. The institute may also prepare a waiting panel valid for one year.
• Accuracy and conduct: False information can disqualify you at any point. Trying to influence the recruitment through outside contacts can also lead to disqualification.
• Further notices: The institute will publish any additional information, addendum or corrigendum on its website. It will not issue a separate press notice, so keep checking for updates.
