ICMR-Centre for Cancer Pathology (ICMR-CCP) Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The ICMR-Centre for Cancer Pathology (formerly known as ICMR-National Institute of Pathology), located at Safdarjung Hospital Campus, New Delhi, has released a notification (Advt No. ICMR-CCP/Sr. Resident/2026-2027/374) for one Unreserved (UR) post of Senior Resident in Pathology. This is a premier ICMR research institute involved in pathology research, diagnostics, and academic work, so the role suits doctors who want lab and research exposure together. Only candidates who have not already completed a full Senior Residency tenure are eligible to apply. As a Senior Resident here, you will handle routine responsibilities in the Pathology Lab and take part in the Institute's academic activities. The initial tenure is for 3 years, and it can be renewed every year based on your performance.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: MD (Pathology) or DNB (Pathology) or DCP, completed within the last 3 years.
• Not eligible: Candidates who have already completed Senior Residency, or who do not yet have their MD/DNB/DCP certificate (results awaited).
• Private practice is not allowed during the tenure, though a non-practicing allowance is paid to medical graduates as per rules.

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 45 years to apply.
• Age Relaxation: Up to 5 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates as per DoPT instructions.
• The prescribed age may be relaxed further in exceptional cases for experienced and qualified candidates.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary under 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-11 (Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month).
• You will also get allowances as per Central Government rules, plus a non-practicing allowance since private practice is not allowed.
• No hostel accommodation is available for this post.
