ICAR-NIAP Young Professional-II Recruitment 2026 - 10 Posts

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research - National Institute of Agricultural Economics and Policy Research (ICAR-NIAP), New Delhi has released a notification for 10 Young Professional-II posts under various ongoing projects. The engagement is purely contractual and co-terminus with the project up to March 2027 (may be extended). Freshers and experienced candidates with a postgraduate degree in agricultural economics or related disciplines can apply.

Who Can Apply?

For YP-II (IT) - 1 Post

• Essential Qualification: B.Tech, M.Tech, or Master's in Computer Science or Computer Applications from a recognised university
• Desirable: Full stack development experience, especially Python-based web development

For YP-II (General) - 9 Posts

• Essential Qualification: Master's degree in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Agricultural Extension, Data Sciences, Computer Application, or International Business (specific subject depends on the project)
• Desirable: Knowledge of MS Office, Stata, data handling, micro-economic theory, impact assessment, monitoring and evaluation, or systematic review based on the project

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 21 years as on the date of interview
• Maximum age: 45 years as on the date of interview
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwD candidates

Salary

• Consolidated pay: Rs. 42,000 per month (same for all 10 posts)
• The engagement is purely contractual and co-terminus with the project
• Tenure: Till March 2027 (may be extended based on performance and project requirement)

Selection Process

Selection is through a single-stage walk-in interview. There is no written exam.

1. Walk-in Interview: Held on 18 May 2026 (IT post) and 19 May 2026 (General posts) at the Auditorium, Ground Floor, ICAR-NIAP, DPS Marg, Pusa, New Delhi-110012
2. Document Verification: Original certificates and degrees are verified before the interview
3. Medical Examination: Selected candidates are medically examined for fitness before joining

A panel will be made with the approval of the Competent Authority. Future similar vacancies may be filled from this panel.

• Manage monitoring and evaluation tasks for assigned ICAR projects (MELIA Unit roles)
• Develop or maintain web applications and dashboards (IT post only)
• Present project findings in internal review meetings and workshops
